This month we celebrate an anniversary – 36 years of spreading the news about people of color. We also pay a very special tribute to our esteemed and much-loved editor-in-chief, Alfonzo Porter who unexpectedly passed away on March 12. Not only is DUS grieving but so are the many families, friends and associates who have lost loved ones due to gun violence. Miah Ntepp writes about solutions being sought to help eradicate this problem.
