CONCEPT OF EMBANKMENTS Kharkiv, Ukraine | Spesialist graduation project | 2015

Developed site is located in the central part of the city, bounded by streets and Kharkiv waterfront, has direct access to the river. On the opposite bank are located residential apartment buildings. The close proximity of the river provides excellent specific points. Within the area of design are located monuments, places of worship and educational facilities. Today, there are a number of issues addresse d by the present project. Among them: Lack of urban framework, the lack of improvement, low availability, a large number of dilapidated buildings, no point of attraction for citizens In close proximity tramway, metro station "Sovetskaya"- important transport artery. Despite the favorable location in terms of accessibility, as well as the presence of a large number of valuable buildings and monuments, Kharkov hem, a part of which is the portion of the design is not attractive for residents and visitors alike. The project is proposed the concept of development of Kharkiv Podol quay and adjacent districts for the purpose of this place is to saturate the city activity and introduce a new feature in this part of the city. The structure of the embankment is divided into two parts: the transit area and the area formed by 4-6 storey buildings, which serve to ensure all functions for the promenade and shore division of space on public and private space. The nature of the waterfront changes from urbanized in the west to the east , which has a wide beach and scenic spots. Offering a multitude of connections between the upper and the lower level of the embankment, communication is enshrined in the squares and ramps.

RESORT ON THE BANKS OF THE VOLGA RIVER Kokshaysk, Russia | Professional work | 2015 Drozdov & Partners bureau | KHARKIV team | kozak denys, oleg drozdov, sergey kostyanoy, aleksandr kuznetsov, oksana chebina, vitaliy pravik, vyacheslav zhemir, yekaterina yerchenko activities | architectural design, models, plans, schemes

The plot is located on the bank of the volga river. the peculiar feature of the place is the necessity to protect it from spring floods. this fact called for a platform secured from the high water. The border between the “platform and the beach outlines the embankment which is the main pedestrian alley connecting all the functions of the complex that are evenly distributed around the territory. the access to the plot is performed from its longitudinal rear side. at the entrance of the complex there is a parking lot with utility facilities, followed by the yacht club which has immediate access to the pier. finally, there is a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the volga. The major public space of the complex is a swimming pool with deck chairs, a playground and sports facilities. the common lobby unites the spa complex with the hotel with rooms exposed to the river. We preserve a fragment of the natural terrain and carve a landscape park out of the platform, with lounge-zones and observation points

WINE CULTURE CENTER Verona, Italy | Competition project | 2014 team | kozak denys, darya kuznetsova, artem tiutiunnik, dasha shataliuk activities | architectural design, 3d model, schemes, renders

Cantina Valpolicella in Negrar is located in the north of Italy in a picturesque mountain valley of Valpocella region, which is famous for its winemaking traditions. The winery is represented by complicated conglomeration of different spaces, that today has led to an important issue - the complex lost semantic and emotional conection with the culture of winemaking. Easier speaking, the factory has lost spirit of the place. And we believe that the main goal is to recreate the atmosphere of winemaking complex. The project aim is to reconstruct existing spaces with the dismantling of structures that have been installed in the recent time and managed to change the face of the winery seriously. The idea of the project is to identify algorithm of winemaking and to use it as a foundation for d evising a pass scenario making an analogy tocinematograph. Lots of spaces diff e rent by atmosphere are designed to c r eate the sense of presence for everyvisitor and to provide all conditions for understanding the culture of this place. The s pace of wine culture center cons i sts of a set of different premises, intended to impress visitors on asociative leve l . The path starts with grape patio, whic h associated with the ingathering of g r apes and therefore the first stage of w i nemaking. After that people walk into the obscured space where he gets acqu a inted with the next step-wine spin n ing, with the help of dashboards and media screens. All the production step s , which can not be demonstrated are d isplayed in the media room. The visi t ors have the opportunity to look at t h e bottling of wine while going down the stairs from the media room.

CEBADA COMMUNITY CENTER Madrid, Spain | Bachelor graduation project | Competition project, winning proposal | 2014

The site is located in the histocal part of the city, which today is represented as complicated market and public space. The last one is given for use of citizens. In this supersaturated, tight context the priority is given to transportation and economics mostly. The human needsdon’t get enough attention and in this case we can speak about total reorganization of space, in order to remedy the situation. Current market conditions, the needs of the public space in the city, rich flow of traffic in this place led to the formation of the idea of the whole structure, consolidating a communicative environment and trade, as important elements in the economy and the history of the area. The idea is the movement towards film viewings. The main objective of the project is the creation of open space, active communication with the influx of people and as a result development of the region in general. The idea is the movement towards communication between all ages and interests and is represented in 2 ramps, passing through the market, connecting out of the subway and the surrounding neighborhoods. This is a two-level structure with trading floor shifted to the level of the road, toensure the availability of market space and open upper space, having a relatively simple organization just to show platform where people can spend their leisure time, organizeconcerts, make cycling, relax in a cafe or just have a walk. Cupola space is filled with audiences, enabling to organize lectures or film viewings. The main objective of the project is the creation of open space, active communication with the influx of people and as a result development of the region in general.

COLLIDER ACTIVITY CENTER Sofia, Bulgary | Competition project | 2013 team | kozak denys, aleksandr kolesnikov, igor lyalyuk activities | architectural design, 3dmodel, plans, schemes, sections

Plot of land, reserved for ColliderActivityCenter, for the moment is a typical indeterminate territory, situated in-between strong urban elements: subway station, large residential district, plant area. To place a new, unfamiliar to this area, function of ColliderActivityCenter, we need to create a mystery island of isolation. In presented project this is achieved by placing the main part of the building underground, at level-6.00, and the excavated soil to be used for creating elevated plateau at +6.00 level. Arrangement of traffic ‘throughunder’ the object creates multiplicity of dimensional experiences and allows to create different footpaths for ColliderActivityCenter visitors, depending on mood, weather, company. AllColliderActivityCenter basic functions are located on the same plane at level -6.00 and are integrated into one space. At level -3.00 and at level 0.00 there are separate sites with additional secondary functions / bars, cafes, checkrooms, bathrooms, parking garage / and link ways between them. A stand-alone threestorey administration unit is connected to the main building by a covered walkway. A walkable roof of Collider Activity Center is an integral part of plateau, elevated at +6.00. The landscape layers are passing through them: garden, city amphitheater, dunes, water, meadow. There is a possibility to move along one layer, in borders of one landscape or across them. In the holistic geometrical scheme one item is differentiated from general system - the 10-meter "gorge-corridors" that are located upon underground utilities, existing on site, are used for bicycling / skating, roller skating / and walking. forycling / skating, roller skating / and walking.

QUIET CENTER

Belgorod, Russia | Competition project | 2013 team | kozak denys, igor lyalyuk, andrew soloviov, ivan shevchenko activities | architectural design, schemes, 3dmodel, model

The purpose of the project - the formation of a multi dimensional, multi-functional, sustainable urban environment, sustainable balance between the different types of urban spaces - Evrostreet and housing premiumm buildings - quiet quarter of urban villas. Evrostreet - the type of public space characteristic of European cities. The functional framework is presented with catering - cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, pastry shops, etc., and their derivatives - cafe-Hairdressers, cafĂŠ-shops, etc. This space filled with people, works as a "social reactor" in the space of the city. The project provided an apparatus two "evroulits." One is solved as an offshoot from the Boulevard, overlooking the square with a church-chapel. The other connects the boulevard to the prospectus. The site is offered to the temple issue as an area, put on her layout Belgorod fortress, as well as other structures destroyed by the war. New pedestrian streets divide land into four parts, which makes it a traditional quarter somasshabnym European cities. The stretch of luxury housing typology between single-family villa and apartment house, in relation to urban areas, the most attractive is the type of urban villa. In typological development town house has not lost its significant positive kachestvindividual arhiektury and measured, quiet lifestyle in the countryside. In addition to building houses proposed a private intra landscaping with a barbecue and playing sports, jogging trails. Garden furniture, outdoor pool, and so on.
