Prior to the Great Depression in Japan, the popularity of game consoles reached unprecedented heights. During this period, game consoles were not only the center of family entertainment, but also reflected the prosperity and vitality of Japanese society at that time, and became an important window for people to revisit that era.
Here we utilize the design of the Retro Game Console Museum to demonstrate the contradictions and complexities of the Japanese economy before and after the Great Depression through spatial logic and narrative relationships, telling the story of the entire economic development and revealing the cultural and social changes in the historical context. By deconstructing game consoles to re-plan the exhibition space, the museum allows visitors to return to the pre-Great Depression era when the game industry was booming, and to experience the technological and culturalinnovations of the time through interactive participation.

Finding solution strategies for architectural design from the perspective of new era development and exploring new directions for future architectural development
The focus of this design is the College Gymnasium, which is a landmark building on campus, but its appearance is not outstanding, and it is under-utilised by non-physical education students and unable to host large-scale events. Therefore, improving the appearance and function of the building while meeting the demand for richer activities was the main direction of the design.
As a building with a high frequency of use on campus, the time for holding activities is usually not more than one month, so the concept of ‘plane competition mode conversion’ was innovatively proposed in the plan layout, with the principle of ‘daily use as the main purpose and activities as the secondary purpose’. At the same time, we want the building to embrace the campus with an open attitude. The building partly adopts the form of semi-open space and introduces the concept of ‘Vitality Cycle’ to activate and continuously circulate the whole campus space and find a balance between two modes of activities and flows.

FUNCTIONS OF THE VENUE
SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool is the main venue and is the largest and most functional. It can be used for professional training as well as a standard competition venue, and can also be used as a daily play pool
VITALITY CIRCUITS CONNECT THE MAIN FUNCTIONAL SPACES TO FORM USABLE, SIZABLE CORRIDOR STRUCTURES.
BADMINTON COURT
The renovation retains the real ice rink and is flexible enough to switch with the badminton courts depending on the season.
STANDARD POOL AND WARM-UP POOL
WARM-UP POOL FOR DAILY USE
INDOOR ICE RINK
BADMINTON COURT
VITALITY CHANGE SYSTEM (VCS)
The slidable glass walls provide a great way to shift the mode of the venue; when closed, the internal event space is undisturbed and the natural light is not affected; when open, the semi-open swimming pool is available for daily use by the students and visitors
The first floor ice skating rink and badminton courts are flexible and convertible according to seasonal and event requirements to meet a wide range of needs.

The seemingly unrelated things of the moon and the sea often appear together in ancient Chinese poetry, stirring up the nostalgia of wanderers. It touches people's inner emotions. On the sea, the moon and the sky on the sea will be at this time. This dreamlike scene inspires us to yearn for a poetic life, and this project aims to explore how to integrate this poetry into architecture, connecting people, the sea and the moon.
Because architecture itself is a poem, integrating form, structure, and materials into one, conveying emotion and beauty. Through poetic architectural expression, it is no longer just a practical space, but a vehicle for us to resonate emotionally and share a good time.
The growth process of human beings is like the moon's cycle of yin and yang, fullness will lead to loss.
CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS
In old age, everything seems to be perfect, but it is as if nothing existed.
The embryonic period begins a long journey of its own as a new lifev
In middle age, the inevitable attenuation of energy is inadequate.
In adulthood, I have my own definition of everything
ELEMENT EXTRACTION
When I was a teenager, vit was as if everything had changed overnight
As early childhood, they are curious about everything in the world and explore and discover new mysteries together
RECTANGULAR
Rectangle, corresponding to the shape of the sea. Receiving the attraction of the moon forms the tides
Circle, corresponding to the shape of the moon. It can be divided into different shapes to become the central image of the building
Arched, corresponding to the sea and the moon. As a guide to the line of sight
DIUMAL TIDE
Complete a cycle in one lunar day (24h5omin). There is only one high and low in a day.
SPRING TIDE
Within two or three days after the first and fifteenth days of the lunar month effectsvimage of the building
There is a high tide with the greatest tidal range, when the tide rises highest and falls the lowest.image of the building
SMALL TIDE
Within two or three days after the 8th and 23rd days of the lunar monthimage of the building
INTERVAL
There is a small tide with the smallest tidal range, when the tide does not rise too high and falls too low. image of the building
At different times, the combination between the water level and the building is different, creating different architectural effectsvimage of the building
BLOCK REFINEMENT
Vertically connected areas serve as directional guides
The connectionabove-ground area, which serves as the entrance to the building, is completely exposed to the water.
ENTRANCE SPACE - ABOVE GROUND
TOWER - LOOKOUT
It floats at high tide and rises above the water at low tide, so it can walk.
DOME-THE SURFACE OF THE WATER
Long time underwater, equipped with tidal power function to supply internal electronic screen function.
Functional spaceunderwater
Connecting the water and the land, the combination of the water and the building corresponds to the part of the moon, and the less contact with the water corresponds to the new moon and the first quarter of the moon

We propose soundmark as a path to revitalize the soundscape and make the sound become a landmark of the city.
In planning, we create two vertical and one horizontal “S” interlaced planning and development pattern, utilize soundscape corridors to extend the alley experience and internal community culture axis, and spatially create “four realms of space” through soundscape reproduction techniques such as sound searching, sound borrowing, sound shaping and sound masking, breaking the boundaries between the present and the past, and exploring systematic environmental enhancement modules; we also propose the soundmark path to make sound become an urban landmark. It breaks the boundary between the present and the past, and explores a systematic environmental quality improvement module; it shapes the mood of sound surrounding the three-foot alley in the old city, and presents the characteristics of the neighborhood in three dimensions.
It provides a template for the quality improvement of the old urban area, and makes the old urban area a harmonious home for the people and a shared home with audio-visual and cultural tourism experience.

SOUND ROAMING MAP
Based on the topographical features, traffic flow, characteristic acoustic space and functional zoning of each historic district, four representative survey areas with spatial hierarchical changes were selected, namely residential areas, landscaped open space, commercial pedestrian areas and motor vehicle traffic areas.
ANALYSIS OF FINDINGS
We conducted a 1-2 minute objective soundscape test at each soundscape walk location. The results showed that the overall experience of the soundscape was rated as good, but there were shortcomings. When designing and optimising soundscapes, more attention should be paid to the harmony and naturalness of sound and to reducing noise interference.
Measurement point selection Relationship between acoustic comfort and spatial form
According to the combination of the sound insulation and sound absorption effects of different materials, here are a few examples of building modifications that residents in the area can carry out according to their own needs.

While designing a building, I would present my inspiration in the form of sketches, and in my spare time, I would organise these sketches into long scrolls to reduce the stress of designing, which is my way of relaxing. Here are the four scrolls related to the four projects in the portfolio.
