We are committed to ensuring that you will enjoy the comfort and tranquillity offered by this 4-star resort where we maintain the standards of quality and service for which Wyndham Residences are so well known.

In order to make your experience — as well as that of future guests — unique and as memorable as possible, we encourage you to take into consideration a few suggested procedures to follow to ensure greater harmony among everybody.

As a matter of environmental concern, we appeal to you to be conscientious with water consumption, so precious to our planet. All accommodation is equipped with electric heaters.

The Hotel will not accept liability for any damage occurring in the accommodation which results from the direct action of guests, nor for any accidents which result from the use of electrical appliances by the guests themselves, and we advise against the use of appliances other than those intended for personal hygiene. Please avoid using electrical appliances in wet areas.

Guests will be held liable for any damage caused to the equipment and utensils available in the accommodation through their misuse, including loss, theft or robbery, and will be expected to compensate the Hotel accordingly for such damage.

The Hotel accepts no responsibility for the safety of children who are unsupervised by an adult. Guests must ensure that children are accompanied or supervised by an adult at all times.

Wyndham Residences Alvor Beach

The Wyndham Residences Alvor Beach will not accept responsibility for the disappearance of guests' possessions or valuables, and advises guests to make use of the safe in the accommodation for their safekeeping.

The Hotel is not responsible for the theft of any vehicle parked in the Hotel car park, nor any objects inside such vehicle, nor any damage to such vehicle caused by third parties. We do, however, welcome suggestions or requests from our guests and will respond affirmatively to these suggestions and requests whenever possible.

In the event that it is absolutely impossible to meet your requests, Wyndham Residences Alvor Beach can store your luggage at no extra cost after check-out at 12h00 noon, and you can continue to enjoy the public areas of the Hotel.

Appropriate attire is required in restaurants and bars, it is required to dress appropriately for the type of service. The wearing of sleeveless shirts, swimming costumes and slippers is not permitted inside. Likewise, appropriate attire is required whenever you visit Reception.

Emergency / Evacuation

For your safety and that of all other occupants of the building, we ask you to observe the following Safety Procedures.

Arrival at your accommodation

• Identify the nearest emergency exits to your accommodation (access to stairs if you are staying in an accommodation on a higher floor).

• Check the position of alarm buttons and fire extinguishers installed in the corridor leading to your accommodation.

• Always respect the Hotel's internal "no smoking" policy.

In the event of fire

• Keep calm.

• Activate the nearest alarm and/or contact Reception from any telephone.

• Close the doors to prevent the fire from spreading.

• Do not attempt to fight the fire.

• Once the exit and/or stairway is clear, never turn back.

• In the presence of smoke, keep as close to the ground as possible.

• Do not try to carry any baggage with you, your life is far more important.

• If you are housed in an accommodation on an upper floor, use the emergency stairs, always descend against the wall.

• Do not go back.

• Do not use the lifts.

If you are locked inside your room or suite during a fire

• If you cannot leave your accommodation safely, do not leave.

• Keep calm.

• Keep the door closed to prevent the fire from spreading to the interior.

• Contact Reception on one of the phones in your accommodation and clearly state the accommodation you are staying in and the number of people in it.

• Turn off the air conditioner immediately.

• Fill the basin with water.

• Use wet towels to cover the joints of doors and ventilation grills.

• Moisten the towels frequently.

• Remove the curtains from the windows.

• Wet the entire floor at the entrance/of the entrance hall.

• Wait for help from the Hotel's Emergency Team.

Evacuation alarm

• If the evacuation alarm sounds continuously, follow these instructions:

• Keep calm.

• Take your key with you.

• Using the back of your hand, check the temperature of the door before opening it.

• If the corridor is clear of smoke, you can leave.

• Do not try to carry any baggage with you, your life is far more important.

• Leave your accommodation and make sure you close the door.

• If it is clear of smoke, use the nearest emergency staircase, always descend against the wall (when housed on an upper floor).

• Do not go back.

• Do not use the lifts.

• Follow the instructions provided by the Hotel's Emergency and Evacuation Team.

• Staff from the Resort's Emergency and Evacuation Team will direct you to a meeting point where they will identify you and register you for absence checks.

Blocked exits

If the safety conditions for leaving your accommodation are not satisfactory or the emergency exit stairs are obstructed, return to your accommodation, and proceed as described under "If you are locked inside your room or suite during a fire ".

General safety considerations

The rooms and suites in this Hotel are non-smoking areas. Never smoke in the accommodation. Unplug electrical appliances from the sockets if you are not using them.
