Alyssa’s Adventures in the Mitten

My name is Marcia Umphrey. The wonderful world of motorcycles was introduced to me ten years ago. Back then, I was a passenger on the back, just along for the ride. The wind in your hair, sunshine on your face, and rumble from the engine are feeling you can’t help but fall in love with! I knew from that moment on that one day I would ride my own. I have now been riding my own bike for six years. I own a 2000 Harley-davidson fatboy CVo. Bob (what I named my bike) and I have been together for four years, and in that time we have ridden a little over 20,000 miles. This is the first bike show that I have entered with my Harley-Davidson Fatboy. It was a female riders-only bike show with seventeen participants. I was not expecting to win and actually had my gear on to ride home— when to my surprise, I was awarded second place! While winning a trophy is always exciting, someone appreciating your bike’s beauty as much as you do is what really made the trophy special and memorable. Thanks to everyone who voted for my bike!
