When Life Gets Tough CTRL + ALT + DEL
What a great concept to think about! Let’s face it, life give us challenges, tough times and rough situations. When those times arise, you have to face it and the outcome is all in how you handle it. It’s time to reboot and Ctrl + Alt + Del. here is your positive Shift Tool Kit. CONTROL Your Thoughts – You can have an internal battle with your thoughts. Being that we tend to lean towards the negative in tough situations, our thoughts start to play mind games with us and then we start to do the “what-if” analysis. Be in control and get in the habit of stopping the negative thoughts before they take over. Try saying: Control, Alt, Delete three times in a row. It will help you from going down that path and having even more negative thoughts. When you say the C+A+D three times, it gives your mind a break and clears your thoughts. even if you have to say it over and over 100 times, that’s okay. Then think of something that makes you happy. It also helps you from saying something you might regret. ALTERNATE Your Emotions – You yourself can make your heartrate increase, just with emotions and how you feel. heartrates drop when emotions are calm and relaxed. They can skyrocket when we let our emotions get to us and make us feel mad, scared or uber-angry. Other people can trigger your emotions, but you don’t have to react to them. When you add the thoughts with emotions, it affects us even faster and often leads to a negative outcome; which could have been controlled, especially when your initial reaction leads to a sudden impulse. You may not be able to control the situation given, but you can control your emotional outcome.
DELETE Your Negativity – even after you say the C+A+D several times, you might battle the urge to go back to the negative thoughts and emotions. STOp IT! It will make you preoccupied with self-doubt. That won’t ever be a WIn-WIn situation. Take action and visualize yourself pressing down on the Ctrl + Alt + Del. Restart and reboot your thoughts, emotions, and negative impulses. If you have time to keep investing in the negative thoughts and emotions—you can invest in altering them by practicing the alternative steps. Change your outcome.
