Backroads of Appalachia is a Non-Profit organization funded by state operating budget, federal grant, and private donation but the most important part of our organization is that we are truly Community based. From our volunteers who work hard on what we do here everyday on each project and event, to our media and publication partners, to our welcome centers, which provide a second chance for those in addiction recovery, to you the rider, everyone is part of who we are and what we do here. When you come here to ride here the money you spend in these small towns across Appalachia and the input you provide us on our trail routes and offerings helps us continue to improve what we have for all others that come here to enjoy. This community based effort is helping our region prosper again after years of lack of industry and economy. We are truly “Patches with a Purpose” here at the Whitley County Motorcycle Group, the Motorcycle side of Backroads of Appalachia, and all are welcome to join us and be part of our mission. We have everything you are looking for as a rider right here in Central Appalachia covering multiple states including KY, WV, VA, and TN and it’s all GPS-Enabled!
