NAI Signage Solution - 2014 Tasked with Graphic designer duties and assisted the design and construction of structural signage. iM-Studios Architects - 2015 - 2020 As a Key member of a small firm I was fully engaged with all aspects of the design process. I often worked independently managing my own projects from the creation of a proposal to the crafting of initial design schemes, development through construction documents, observation of construction. I also worked collaboratively with others, indexing into the design and detailing of larger projects and meeting with clients.
morgue and visitation center kabul military hospital Health Care Firm – iM-Studios This project consisted of developing and finalizing the design from a set of conceptual drawings that were provided by the client. iM-Studios worked in coordination with Engineers to produce feasible construction documents for a new Consolidated Morgue and Visitation Center. The facility is located at Kabul National Military Hospital (KNMH-A), Kabul Province, Afghanistan. Project role Project duties included from assisting the deign team to the development of construction documents. Graphic renders were also produced for the project.
fort sam houston exterior building repair Federal Firm - iM-Studios The intent of this project was to repair the exterior envelope of an existing Fort Sam Houston building. The wood trim required extensive renovation, and replacement. The design took into account the humid climate and the effect of high winds and rain. The overall goal was to provide Army North with a repaired and functional exterior envelope for the building. Project role Assisted the design team in field documentation of existing condition and field measurements. I produced CAD drawings for the building using field measurements and client provided PDF’s of the original building blueprints.
town creek homes Residential New Construction Firm – iM-Studios iM-Studios had the opportunity of designing a series of homes for Williams-Hirsch custom builders in a mix-use community. Town creek is an emerging 65 acres urban village that is a short walking distance from down town New Braunfels. The design of the homes had to the reflect a timeless impression in order to flawlessly blend into the existing fabric of New Braunfels. Project Role Under the supervision of the firm’s architect I designed a total of 5 homes for this project. Some of the designs required meeting with the clients to personalize the design to meet their needs. I was also responsible for the production of construction documents and the (REScheck) energy report for each home.
youth barn Religious Assembly Firm – iM-Studios Grace church ministries tasked iM-studios with the design of their youth assembly building. The design incorporated vernacular design and materials while highlighting the relationship between structure and landscape. As the first building to be erected on the site this project will be utilized as the design language for future development on the site. Project Role I contributed to the design team from start to finish. I was assigned Project Manager and charged with the production of construction documents. I also produced several graphic renders that where shared with the client.

literacy & sports complex conceptual master plan / site studies Firm – iM-Studios True Vision Church tasked iM-Studios with the opportunity to develop a master plan for the underutilized land behind its north east campus. Under the clients direction iM-Studios designed a Literacy and Sports complex to be utilized by the community. Special consideration was taken since part of the site is on a floodplain. The parking studies also determined the necessary number of parking spots that were required for the complex. Project Role As part of the design team I contributed to the research and studies that determined the project’s program. I also deigned the literacy center and parking layout. As well as the overall site plan.

A notable alteration to the dwelling was the new fireplace that was built. The existing brick fireplace was structurally unstable which posed a safety risk and had to be demolished. A new wood fireplace was designed and built to reflect the home’s historic architecture. 1' - 6"

This home is located near down town New Braunfels. Unfortunately, the house remained vacant for several years which lead the structure to fall into disrepair. I was hired to help guide the demolition and the new work performed on the house. A significant task for the design was keeping the historical architectural features while updating the layout to meet modern functionality. A set of construction documents and a 3D model were produced from field measurements.
