Meet Adam Hubbell. My Story.

The year was 2020 and I had just finished a great wine tasting at one of my favorite restaurants.  Undenounced to me, this would be my last event as an on-premise liquor salesman.  The Covid-19 pandemic was just announced, and most bars, restaurants, and small businesses would be temporarily shut down. Within a few weeks my entire division was furloughed, I had a wife and two young mouths to feed, and a mortgage that was less than a year old that had to be paid.  I was crushed, my 7-year career that I loved was over.  I knew I had to pivot and find something new, so I thought of jobs that were outside sales based, and where me relationship building, and customer experience skills would help me to excel.  After talking with a few friends and family members, the mortgage industry rose to the top.  From the outside looking in, it checked all the boxes: relationship building, outside sales, both small market and luxury opportunities, and I lived in one of the hottest real estate markets in the US.  Only problem was I had no idea how the industry worked and in addition to that I had to go from a lucrative career in liquor sales to 100% commission income with zero experience.

Fast forward to today, I am incredibly happy and honored to be a part of a boutique style mortgage brokerage at First Western Trust that excels in everything from first-time home buyers to luxury new construction, VA loans, second homes, and professional loans.  I’m part of a team that believes clients should enjoy the experience of buying or building a home and obtaining the financing that comes with it.  A team that believes in meeting clients face to face, shaking their hand and building a foundation of trust, communication, and expectation for what is most likely the single largest debt they will ever take on.  Today more than ever, we are connected via social media and our phones to information about everyone and everything from all corners of the world.  We want to use technology to support the foundation that we have created through personal, human communication to deliver the highest quality customer experience in the industry.

Our office is in the heart of Arcadia, almost dead center to Phoenix metro.  We invite every client in for our pre-purchase mortgage consultation with their agent to sit down and go over what we do as a mortgage lender, what they can expect as a borrower, how their agent and I work together in unison to put them into the best home possible that fits their needs.  We discuss the clients wants and needs, address concerns that they have, and take a 360 look at their financial goals for both the short and long term so that we can be sure to put them in the best loan program and rate possible.

We have great options for purchasing second homes.  Since we have a private bank backing us, we don’t have to apply the 400 basis point adjustment that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac require on all financed second homes in the US. Pre-Purchase Mortgage Consultation

Face-to-face business interactions are very important to me.  Purchasing a home is typically the largest debt that an individual or family will incur in their lifetime.  Simply text messaging or speaking over the phone is not a sufficient way to build trust and develop long-term relationships.  My pre-purchase mortgage consultation was designed to achieve three things: Educate, Inform, and Empower.  In this presentation I go through the mortgage process, addresses any questions and concerns, communication styles and expectations, and build repour between myself, the real estate professional, and you.

You will be introduced to my production partner who works in the office next to me, so when you get requests for personal financial and employment information, you know who is asking you for these documents and why we need them.  Much like a doctor describing their movements in an exam, we want to set those same expectations with our clients so whether this is your first home purchase or your 10th, you understand what we are doing.
