A MESSAGE FROM YOUR COMMUNITY MANAGER
Community associations like ours have a lot in common with municipal governments. As members of a governing body, our board members meet regularly to discuss and vote on important community issues, like paying the association’s bills, funding our reserves and contracting with vendors to keep our community amenities in good repair. The board makes decisions about these and other important topics using a democratic process.
Also like a government, our association board has the legal authority to enforce rules and regulations—somewhat like laws—and to collect assessments, like a government collects taxes, to pay to maintain shared amenities like parking lots, general landscaping and street lights, and to pay the association’s bills.
Our association also has the authority to take legal action, if necessary, if a homeowner fails to meet his or her obligations that everyone agreed to when you purchased in this community. These obligations include paying regular assessments on time, abiding by architectural or design policies, and observing community rules.
Sounds like a lot or work, right? It is! Did you know that your association board and committee members are volunteers? They are homeowners, just like you, in this community. They care greatly about the community where they live and take time out of very busy lives to help keep the community a beautiful place to call home. They attend meetings, answer emails, meet with vendors, and review documents, all to be prepared to make the important decisions regarding your community.
So next time you see a board member or committee member please take a moment to say thank you and show appreciation for their dedication and hard work.

This is a tricky-ish part too. You need to cinch the bag tightly while fussing and fluffing with the ears. Tie a knot with baker’s twine or string or whatever you may have at home that you can tie the bag up with. And once tied, you’ll need to fluff those ears again.

Add a big cotton ball bunny tail with some fast-drying hot glue. Or slowing drying room temperature glue. Whatever you have handy.

Spring is in the air and now the trails that surround our neighborhoods become flooded with spring flowers, the owl returns for her annual appearance, and the air begins to rise reminding us of the summer to come. This also signals a time for the play pool to reopen. It won’t be the same as you left it in September. We are excited for all the new and revitalized structures and equipment that will be completed for the April reopening. The most visible will be the refurbished structure in the play pool, the new umbrellas will surround the pools, and the added walkway between the lap pool and play pool have been added for easier access. Everything will be fresh and bright for the grand reopening in early April.

Behind the scenes, there have been a lot of activities to replace and repair all the pool equipment for the spa and both pools. Last year they were showing their age with many breakdowns and malfunctions that caused them to be closed for extended periods of time. We now have the most updated equipment available that will take us into many years to come.

This has taken a lot of work and time to make happen from the Michelle Sacco and her team, the board, and the many vendors making it happen. The work doesn’t stop there. We have a lot to still do that comes along with our communities age. The Community Center refresh is starting and you’ll soon see changes occurring with new furniture and décor. The irrigation system, access system, granite refresh, and many other items will now come into focus.
