P.S. A referral is sending someone you care about to someone you respect. My business continues to thrive and grow due to referrals from clients, friends, associates, and others just like you. Who is the next person you know who would benefit from my services?
Who Was The Last Person You Panned?
In a world packed with emails, instant messages and Facebook status updates, what’s been lost is the art of communicating through handwritten, personal notes. When was the last time you received a personal note from someone acknowledging you? In her book I Love You, Ronnie Nancy Reagan talks about receiving notes from her husband on a regular basis, and the hidden power and magic of a these special communications. A Personal Acknowledgment Note (PAN) is a fantastic way to make a deposit into another person’s emotional bank account. A note that specifically acknowledges a person’s behavior and character only takes a few minutes to draft but creates a lasting impression in the mind and heart of the recipient. The magic in this type of communication comes from being sincere and specific; the more you can address a specific behavior or action, the more powerful your note will be. My personal request to you is that before you retire to bed this evening, find at least one person who you can PAN - and then write that note!

You love your backyard pool and spa. You cannot imagine living in the desert without them. But wait! What are all those chemicals you use to keep them clean and algae-free doing to your body, the environment, your wallet? Plain old salt may be the answer. Saltwater swimming pools and spas have been popular in other parts of the world for a long time and now, because of concern for the environment, they are gaining popularity on our home turf. The many benefits of Saline Purification Systems are quickly making them the water maintenance of choice. Don’t be misled by the term saltwater pool as the water actually contains chlorine, but it is salt-generated rather than man made. By adding a chlorine generator to your pool’s system, the salt added to the water produces the chlorine needed to keep your water clean reducing the need to continually add chlorine and other chemicals. There is minimal cost and some maintenance savings but most people convert to saltwater because it is healthier and more comfortable for swimming. Saltwater pools provide relief from post-swimming red eyes and itchy skin irritated by exposure to too much chlorine, not to mention that awful chlorine smell. THE UPSIDE OF SALTWATER POOLS AND SPAS Good for You and the Planet • Eco-friendly and less harmful to environment • Less harsh and irritating on skin, eyes and hair than chlorine • Easier on breathing for asthma and allergy sufferers • Natural therapeutic effects • Clear and odor-free swimming • Natural algae-reducing effect • No storage or handling of toxic chemicals Less Work – More Play • Salt levels - top off salt levels when water floods/splashes out of pool - salt levels remain even when water evaporates • Saline Systems monitor themselves with warning light if change needed • The system converts salt into chlorine within the water as needed More $$$ for You • Smaller maintenance costs – salt is cheaper than chlorine • After initial start-up salt, only top-off salt needed periodically • Lower electricity costs – filtration system doesn’t have to be run constantly, only once or twice a day for short periods of time depending on pool size • With proper care of pool, converting to a Saline System should pay for itself in about two years • Swimwear lasts longer THE DOWNSIDE OF SALTWATER POOLS AND SPAS • Arizona’s extreme sun and heat burns off chlorine gas produced by salt requiring some addition of man-made chlorine • Cells of Saline Systems need to be replaced regularly due to major calcium build-up in our climate • Professional attention still necessary - if too salty, water can be corrosive to pool - if salt-produced chlorine gets too low, algae and bacteria builds up requiring commercial products If you’re going green and want to go the saltwater route, plan on spending between $1,000 and $2,500 for a decent generator. You’ll need about six 45-lb bags of salt to start and then a bag once in a while for maintenance ($10 - $15 a bag). If you are very handy you can even do it yourself. For only a couple of hundred you can pour yourself a cold one and let a professional do it!
