Mahomes triumphs in the spectacle game!

A shock for Mahomes & Co.?

Not at all. The Chiefs have an answer ready and score with their first attempt. Then, Mahomes finds his favorite target player, Travis Kelce (33), with the game’s second touchdown after just seven minutes (7:7). What a spectacle to start!

Kelce is in the first sibling duel in Super Bowl history; against the Eagles, he also meets his older brother Jason Kelce (35). Mother Donna Kelce takes turns crossing their fingers in the stands.

He was already the most valuable player of the season, and now he’s also one of the bravest Super Bowl heroes ever!

Quarterback superstar Patrick Mahomes (27) leads his Kansas City Chiefs to the title in a football thriller against the Philadelphia Eagles - despite injury! In the end, the spectacular game in front of 67,827 fans in Arizona scraped the Super Bowl record (75 points in 1995) by just two points.

In the 38:35 triumph, Mahomes starts the game already battered and is caught shortly before the halftime break on the already injured right ankle. Mahomes initially limps off the field but returns in the second half, taking care of that.

With a pained face, Mahomes torments himself over the playing time, even gaining necessary yards for his team on practically just one leg. What a fighter’s heart!

In the end, he even eclipsed the record performance of his quarterback opponent Jalen Hurts (24), who, as the youngest quarterback in the history of the mega event, scored three touchdowns himself and threw a touchdown pass. That’s never happened before!

The decisive scene just two minutes before the end: Mahomes Jerick McKinnon (30) plays free deep in the Eagle’s half. The running back runs until just before the end zone but cleverly refuses the possible touchdown and kneels to give the opponent no more time for an answer. Instead, Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker (27) decides the thriller with a field goal – eight seconds before the end! Spectacle start!

Eagles quarterback hurts had provided Philadelphia’s lightning start. However, the Eagles manage to surprise the Chiefs with the first drive. After under 5 minutes, Hurts was pushed the last yard over the magic line by his offense – touchdown!

Kicker Jake Elliott (28) makes the quick 7-0 lead perfect with an extra point.

But the Eagles open the second section again with an early highlight! Hurts with the very long pass, in which the Chief’s defense completely misjudged. AJ Brown grabs for a touchdown in the end zone. Plus an extra point, the Eagles take a 14-7 lead.

A moment of shock for Hurts, then a few minutes later! The quarterback is attacked aggressively by the defense - and suddenly drops the ball. yeeeeeee! Nick Bolton says thank you and runs almost half the field for a touchdown (with an extra point) –14:14.

Hurts, however, quickly forgets the mega-goat and puts his team back in the lead with his second touchdown (21:14).

Then the injury drama about Mahomes, who holds the ball so long that T.J. Edwards was knocked out with a tackle. He hits the MVP of the season on the already injured right ankle. Mahomes limps off the field.

It gets even worse for the Chiefs: The Eagles raise seconds before the break with a field goal. Ten points ahead at halftime – 24:14.

The start in the second half then belongs to the Chiefs. Despite the pain, Mahomes struggles until just before the end zone, Pacheco completes the touchdown. Only 24:21
