But many don’t understand the right work out routine for their age. Read on to know more.. By Shilpa Bansal

Be it a college student, working professional or a home-maker; there is no doubt that women today are becoming very health conscious and understand that they have to workout regularly to stay fit. But women in different age groups need to follow a routine that is specific to them says Chandra Gopalan, director, Contours Fitness Studio. “Exercise is an activity that gets your heart pumping, expands your lungs and burns calories.

Exercises for teens

Exercise can be divided into light, moderate and vigorous. Light exercise is any activity that does not get you out of breath. Moderate exercise are activities like brisk walking, moderate cycling or jogging that makes you feel slightly out of breath, but you can still carry on a conversation. There are a few people who may not be able to do it comfortably. Vigorous exercise burns the most calories and is the most strenuous. Vigorous activities include running or weight training. Hence, every women in any age group can perform some level of exercise,” says Chandra, who also suggests a few workout routines for these women.

Women in this group are more focused on fitness and health. Circuit training is a great form of exercise as it combines strength training with cardio activities. As we age, we lose muscle mass, hence strength training is very essential to restore the lean muscle mass. This is instrumental in boosting the slowing metabolism.

DESI EXPRESS MAGAZINE

Teens have to focus on body shaping and body sculpting exercises. These exercises are done after 20-30 minutes of cardio activity on cardio machines like tread mills, cross trainers and stationery bikes. Body shaping exercises isolate a muscle and work on it. This not only strengthens the muscle but also reduces inches in the area to give it a great shape.

Exercises for middle-aged women

Exercises for older women Women here need to focus on health. Exercise helps normalize blood pressure, sugar levels, helps overcome arthritis and osteoporosis. It is a great stress buster and helps them overcome depression, which is prevalent at an older age. Light cardio and strength training are recommended. FOR ADVERTISING CALL 404-246-3256

If you have fewer than 25 employees, you may qualify for the Small Business Tax Credit (see next section). Non-profit organizations may be eligible for the tax credit as well.

Health Care Tax Credit

Whether you're self-employed or run a small business, here's a quick look at what you need to know about the Affordable Care Act.

Self-Employed If you run an income-generating business with no employees, then you're considered self-employed. You can get coverage through the Healthcare Marketplace and use it to find coverage that fits your needs. Note: You are still considered selfemployed even if you hire independent contractors to do work for you. If you currently have individual insurance--a plan you bought yourself and not the kind you get through an employer--you may be able to change to a Marketplace plan. Note: You can't be denied coverage or charged more because you have a pre-existing health condition.

Small Businesses (50 or Fewer Employees) If you have 50 or fewer full-time equivalent (FTE) AFZAL MITHWANI CPA, EA, PFS (P) 770-817-7000

Small businesses and tax-exempt organization that employ 25 or fewer, full-time equivalent workers with txking / Shutterstock.com average incomes of $51,000 or less (adjusted annually for inflation), and that pay at least half (50 percent) of the employees (generally, workers whose premiums for employee health insurance income you report on a W-2 at the end coverage are eligible for the Small of the year) you are considered a small Business Health Care Tax Credit. business under the health care law. As a small business, you may get insurance for yourself and your employees through the SHOP (Small Business Health Options Programs) Marketplace. This applies to non-profit organizations as well. Note: Beginning in 2016, the SHOP Marketplace will be open to employers with 100 or fewer FTEs. As an employer, you must provide notification to your employees of coverage options available through the Marketplace and are required to provide this notice to all current employees and to each new employee regardless of plan enrollment status or full or part-time employment. The Department of Labor has sample notices that employers can use to comply with this regulation. One notice is for employers who do not offer a health care plan and the second for employers who offer a health care plan.

Starting in 2014, the tax credit is worth up to 50 percent of your contribution toward employees' premium costs (up to 3 percent for tax-exempt employers). The tax credit is highest for companies with fewer than 10 employees who are paid an average of $25,000 or less. The smaller the business, the bigger the credit is. For tax years 2010 through 2013, the maximum credit was 35 percent for small business employers and 25 percent for small tax-exempt employers such as charities. Businesses that have already filed and later find that they qualified in 2013 or an earlier year can still claim the credit by filing an amended return for the affected years. A three-year statute of limitations normally applies to these refund claims. Note: The credit is available only if you get coverage through the SHOP Marketplace and is available to eligible employers for two consecutive taxable years. * Read complete article on www.desiexpressusa.com

Thank you Shamsubhai, I think this is a very special occasion, the timing is very perfect, being the Diwali celebrations, its a very festive period, special times for us, since our songs, films like Band baaja araat, Ladies versus Ricky Behl, Ishq wala love, Chakde India, Aaja nachle and so many movies, which we have done in the past, people still listen to those songs and enjoy them. When we were here in 2012, we did perform on all these

songs specially for the north American audience in Atlanta, but this time we have also brought in a lot more new concepts for the 2014 tour. We have listened to such beautiful romantic songs by both you and Sulaimanbhai, so what additional will we get to hear in this live concert? In this tour, along with all the other songs we also have a devotional songs section, songs like Allah-hu-Akbar, Shukran Allah, Ali Mowla, some beautiful devotional songs which are really timeless in terms of their composition and devotional quality. And also I am very excited about, we are doing a little tribute, we have plans to do a small section of the concert as a tribute, a homage to legends of Indian cinema like Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand Sahab, Shammi Kapoor, Yash Chopraji, their music, their iconic songs, we plan to present them in a very different way, so its like a beautiful combination of all these amazing songs from different times, from the past to the now.

was like wow this is a beautiful opening to the song! and literally the song starts with the same lyrics. In fact Google has made this song as an official song. We have 50 million women from India who come online next year, it's so important to bring women online, I mean women who cook food, who do odd jobs, who don't have access to information, the motive is to get these 50 million women to come online, to work towards women empowerment. You have performed on various platforms, visited various countries, you must have many special moments, any such special which you will never forget, any such moment that you would like to share with our listeners / readers?

Please tell us something about your latest album Choole Aasmaan, composed along with Farhan Akhtar? This song is composed along with Farhan Akhtar for an organization called MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination), its and organization which is very actively involved in protecting women's rights. Not only in India but also in countries like America, women are not treated with equality, when we started composing this song and were discussing it, Farhan just came up with that you know these old myth's that 'Pad likh ker tum kya karongee, tumhe to kisi ka ghar basana hai' and I

ONE ON ONE Music is a very powerful thing, very few people in the world have the power of music, I really value the music I have inside me and its a much stronger art form then any acting. I genuinely feel, with all due respects to art forms. I feel music is a much stronger and its a fine art as compared to acting. Music is an ocean, where you just don't swim but dive you into it, there's a lot to do with music, the happiness I get from music when I compose songs like Shukran Allah, Ali Mowla even songs like Aivi aivi loot gaya, Ish wala love, there's a tremendous joy, maybe acting will not give me that happiness.

In 2010 we performed at the FIFA World Cup in Johannesburg, 90,000 people were there on the grounds. I still remember when we entered the stage and performed the song, 'Africa your the Star', specially composed for FIFA 2010, the expressions that I saw on the faces of people assembled them, I can never forget that, that euphoria, that ambience in the opening ceremony, I will never be able to forget that euphoria of those 90,000 people. You have performed on so many songs, so much of experience, I have one special question for you, can you share with us your experience when you performed in the front of His Highness the Agakhan? Of course, I'd love to, when we performed in front of His Highness Prince Agakhan, firstly this was a very important, a very precious moment, when this performance started, I had already decided with myself that I will not open my eyes, because if I open my eyes, then I will not be able to sing, fortunately when I finally opened my eyes and looked at his face, He was looking at me and tears started flowing down my eyes, I was so emotional and then at the end of the concert when I got the chance to personally meet him, and He said that 'I am very happy that you are making devotional music', because devotional music has been practiced for centuries and He said that 'I am happy that you continue the tradition of devotional songs' and I will always remember that and I cherish that. With so much of travelling, how do you balance your family life with your professional life?

But I am open, if I have Mani Ratnam, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Imtiaz Ali, Farhan Akhtar approach me for a film, then obviously it will be very difficult for me to say 'NO', but if I myself am producing a film, in which I am myself acting, myself singling then I am not ready for that kind of work. How do you feel performing for a concert organized by Angel Eyez Entertainment (Atlanta) that is going to donate the proceeds to charity? It feels wonderful, I personally would like to thank Angel Eyes Entertainment, Salmaan Ajani and his group, who have been so supportive and are passionately doing this show, without any kind of monetary gains and that by itself inspires me more to do something spectacular and special in Atlanta. Shamsuddin Lalani thanked the team of Angel Eyez Entertainment: Salmaan Ajani, Malik Charania, Malik Sawja, Rizwan Sawja, Mumtaz Alli, Nadeem Ali who are working so hard to make this show successful in Atlanta, working for such a good cause.

My life is very simple, when we go to perform shows to another city, we go, we perform, we catch a flight and are back home. Fortunately most shows are on weekends, so for rest of the week we have time for the family, even when in town, I work at the studio and then with my family, it's a very simple life. I have seen few of your commercials, you look awesome, wonderful, dashing, handsome on the screen. We are aware of Himesh Reshamiya, Yo Yo Honey Singh and the latest Mika Singh, all are seen on the nig screen, the movies, when are we going to see you on the big screen, any plans?

WHAT’S YOUR RASHI? Aries: March 21 to April 20. You seem to have two main topics on your mind. One is a debate with yourself or some “expert” about your religious, political, cultural, and/or academic views. This debate has been a reoccurring issue lately and you are not enjoying it. The other topic is more enjoyable. You are coming up with all kinds of ideas to help you with your financial, professional, and leadership goals and finding it easier than usual to put those plans into action.

Taurus: April 21 to May 20.

Your romantic and financial relationships are receiving a lot of attention lately. You are in the mood to launch financial goals and to invest time in romance. The only catch is that you need to keep your money and your love life completely separate from your social life and/or the Internet. Someone is not being completely honest with you or they are misinformed and passing along faulty information. Either way, you need to avoid mixing your social life with your finances and/or your love life.

Gemini: May 21 to June 20. Despite quite a few miscommunications and drama events at work, you are still managing to impress your boss or another authority figure and you are able to make some progress towards increasing profits too. You could find this is a good time for bonus checks or commissions. You also get to launch some kind of fresh start or new beginning involving a romantic, social, or business partner, but then they immediately upset your father, boss, or some other authority figure. You may find yourself having to defend your decision to partner with this person.

Cancer: June 21 to July 22.

Maybe it is just everyone trying to schedule time off for the upcoming holidays but you have plenty of stress brewing at work. The good news is that after another batch of financial issues concerning your playtime and holiday budget, things are finally resolved and you are able to start having some fun and being more generous later in the month.

Leo: July 23 to August 22.

You have two very different dynamics happening in your home at that same time. On the one hand, you are ticked off about something or someone in your private life. It could be a home-improvement project, holiday planning, chores, rental contract, or mortgage. You keep getting really ticked off about it. But on the other hand, you have a very productive energy happening too that helps you to get all kinds of work done, so it is a little tricky trying to figure out why you are so upset. Maybe you just hate housework, chores, remodeling projects, etc. even if they are getting done on time.

Virgo: August 23 to September 22.

There are plenty of opportunities this month to find awesome sales, bargains, and great deals on holiday shopping and gift ideas. It is also a great time for all kinds of local gatherings. Your partner may get annoyed about something or someone at home, but overall, the two of you are having a lot of fun hanging out together and socializing with people in your local community.

NOVEMBER 2014 Libra: September 23 to October 22. Office gossip, daily commutes, local transportation, tough contract negotiations, ineffective sales presentations, faulty product pricing, misunderstandings, miscommunications, defective computers or telecommunication systems, etc. are causing all kinds of delays and productivity problems at work. They holiday shopping, vacation scheduling, winter weather transportation, and overall distractedness could be playing a role in why things are getting rather hectic. Still, your home life is quite pleasant and financially stable, so you are not having too much trouble shaking off the daily stress after leaving the office each day.

Scorpio: October 23 to November 22. You have some of the all-time best opportunities for bargain hunting and finding excellent sales on the various items you might want to purchase for the holiday season. And yet your budget is not where you would like it to be. You normally like to be pretty generous, but this year’s tight budget is really annoying you. Luckily, you are amazingly good at finding incredible deals this month. I think you might actually find yourself entertained by the challenge.

Capricorn: December 22 to January 19.

This is a bad time for allowing your friends, teammates, colleagues, and/or Internet entities to get involved in your financial or romantic activities. Things will turn out badly. You are also dealing with a lot of dysfunction within your local community. And yet, you are in a lovely social mood. You are still enjoying spending time with your friends and colleagues. And they are genuinely fond of you.

Aquarius: January 20 to February 20. Your partner is unhappy about how much time you are spending focused on your career. Or your competitor is ticked off because you are doing so well. Either way, your career is bursting with positive energy. This is a great time to take on leadership roles and to work towards achieving your professional goals. During the second half of the month, you will need to be really careful when mixing your finances with friends, teams, clubs, committees, group activities, and/or the Internet. These social activities could easily end up draining your bank account.

Pisces: February 19 to March 20. You have had such a great couple of months professionally and yet here you are getting upset about a boss or your reputation, professional path, or the level of success you have achieved so far. Perhaps after coming so far, it is time to reevaluate things and see if you are indeed ready for something else. Maybe you have earned the right to a job promotion but your boss is giving it to someone else. Or maybe you are just now realizing that you do not want to work in this industry anymore and you are ready for a completely new path. Whatever it is, be careful not to burn any bridges. If your boss is just grumpy, smile and try to see things from his or her point of view. Next month, you will have a lot of positive things happening in your career again.
