Sant Felip de Neri Square is one of our favorite charming spots in Ciutat Vella, it is a square located near the Cathedral, with trees and a small fountain, that really highlights from its surroundings for being very peaceful and calm. There is a wonderful courtyard at the Gothic Cathedral of Barcelona. On one of the sides of this magnificent church you’ll find an amazing courtyard with ponds full of geese, palm trees and external chapels. In the top of Montjuic hill you’ll find thie Montjuïc Castle, which offers great views of Barcelona city and port. We cannot choose only one place in the charming Gracia neighborhood. Just hang out in its narrow streets and enjoy its bars and restaurants, or our particular stores, to discover the most bohemian side of Barcelona. You can also visit the beautiful Horta Maze Park & enjoy its beautiful neoclassic and romantic gardes, far from the noise and the rush of Barcelona city. Metro:
Take a walk through Port Olímpic (Olympic Port), full of bars and restaurants in front of the sea, some of them with great terraces facing the sea. There is no better way to get to know a city than doing what the locals do and visiting the places where its inhabitants go. Probably one of the best options is to go to markets, where you’ll get a very close perspective on how people live, and you can also enjoy great local food and buy local products and / or souvenirs. The Boqueria market is probably the most famous market in Barcelona because of its magnificent location on the famous Ramblas. It is one of the busiest places in the city center and is always packed with locals and visitors. This market is very unique because it offers the widest range of products of the city, many of them foreign. Metro: Liceu.
Mundet
La Concepción market is located in the famous district of Eixample, one of the most central markets of the city with a unique architecture. Metro: Girona.
If you like views of the city, climb to Tibidabo, to enjoy gorgeus Barcelona’s views. Choose between going to the amusement park of Tibidabo, or one of its popular terraces/bars/restaurants in this area.
The Santa Caterina market is just few steps from the Cathedral of Barcelona and was renewed a few years ago, giving it a modern and colorful look. This market is an excellent place to sample local cuisine. Metro: Jaume I.
