We caught up with Darcy Nelson and asked her to share her "5 Facts" with us and this is what she said.

1. Music is my drug of choice – zero side effects and only the vibes you want to experience.

2. Inspiration for songwriting usually hits me while driving (there’s something in that rhythmic white noise).

3. My strategy for happiness: if I can’t have it, I pretend it doesn’t exist (e.g. gluten, dairy, certain people…).

4. When I’m not focusing on music projects, I work as a self employed marketing consultant helping small businesses focus on lean and effective ways to grow their brand.

5. I’m a sun-and-fun baby. The first song I wrote in 2012 was inspired by a pool party in Vegas. My first release, “See Your Face” was inspired by a pool party meet-cute in Denver.

Bonus fact... I recorded my first demo at 16 and was encouraged to pursue more in music, but felt terrified by the idea at the time.
