Im MEELA, artist, surface pattern designer, teacher and mama to three little girls.
Art has been a lifelong passion, from the beginning I have always pursued being creative. I graduated with a degree in Fine Art and after over 16 years of teaching Art and Design I made a decision to follow my life long passion for creating patterns that will live in the world.
My designs are a reflection of my love for creating with my children in mind. Designing modern and earthy, everyday patterns. Having my children by my side, while I sketch and paint elements, brings me so much joy.
My work is rooted in creating playful and organic, hand drawn marks of delicate motifs, often captured from the organic forms found in nature. Simple and delicate designs with muted, earthy tones bring a feeling of warmth, perfect match of ditsy florals, delicate buds and rich green foliage.
