From the President

Hello! I am Luke Minger, President of Minger Construction Companies. I am honored to serve as your President for 2022, and pleased to bring you this year’s Directory. This is an excellent resource to connect with solution providers, business partners and industry peers. Keep this handy reference and if you’re on the go, we now have an online directory too!

With the pandemic seemingly behind us, and new challenges on the horizon, our priorities for 2022 are focused on the ROI value for your membership. Our strategic plan centers on increasing workforce development efforts, engaging with other organizations, and using good government relations to protect against harmful legislation, and advocating for increased funding for infrastructure projects.

Our mission is to promote the underground utility industry and our vision is to be the best association value for our members. We accomplish this by focusing on our three pillars of service:

• Serving MUCA Members: MUCA’s training and education programs are valuable, especially our online pipelayers certification and our new online erosion control construction site management recertification. These help contractors save time and money in ensuring their crews are in compliance.

• Serving the Industry: We’ve enhanced our Trades

Show & Tell to attract more talent for our industry and we continue to work with other organizations on workforce development efforts. • Serving Our Communities: Our partnership with the TBG Education Foundation has doubled our scholarship offerings for your employee’s children, and our Day of the Dozers continues to break fundraising records for families in need. With a massive budget surplus, and federal infrastructure funding passed, 2022 should be an exceptional opportunity for growth in our industry! This Directory is here to help by providing contacts for state and local government officials, a calendar of upcoming events, rosters of our committees, and Board of Directors. Together we accomplish a lot!

Active participation in your association results in a higher value for your dues investment. Now, more then ever, to utilize MUCA as a resource to connect with your peers. We all deal with material shortages, high material costs and changing laws and regulations so we need to lean on each other for support. We are all in this together, so get involved!
