Thesis: Final Project - Global Warming Effects:

Reclamation, Restoration and Recuperation Key words: Global warming, Climate change, Anthropogenic climate forcing, Atmospheric Greenhouse Gasses (GHG)— Carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrous oxide (N2O), and Chlorofluorocarbons CFCs), Urban heat island effects (UHIE), Greenhouse effects, Natural ecosystem, Deforestation, Urbanization, Stratospheric ozone, Temperature change, and Environmental sustainability. Research question: How can architectural technology minimize the global warming effect on susceptible populations in urban communities? The earth is warming up with potentially disastrous circumstances. The outflow of IR energy from a planet must balance heating from the sun. Human induced climate change is an example of the tragedy of the commons effect. The program is divided into four categories: A. Community Health care retreat, B. Community Educational Enhancement, C. Community Environmental Awareness, and D. Community Mitigation through holistic approach. The selected site for this program is located 3005 Hanover Street in Cherry Hill, Baltimore, adjacent to MedStar Harbor Hospital on the North side along Patapsco River with a soft edge water view on the east and south side, while the West side comprises of existing residential building apartments and wetland areas. The project site consist of 120, 000 sq. feet, approximately two and half acres of land. The main purpose is to impact urban community dwellers with environmental awareness, knowledge, healing and restoration. List of five (5) areas of concern 1. Main entrance walks through to open space 2. Mezzanine level connecting to retail shops 3. Awareness connected large stair & community gathering 4. Enhancement demonstrative garden area 5. Security and information area with skylight

PROJECT STATEMENT SUMMARY The project is the design of a reintegration development center typology that offers health awareness, rehabilitation enhancement, recreation and educational facilities where vulnerable urban dwellers can enhance quality knowledge regarding climate change, effects of deforestation, gradual loss of green spaces, urban heat island effects, and urban greenhouse effects, and how architectural technology can be employed to minimize global warm-

The main purpose is to impact urban community dwellers with environmental awareness, oneness and innovative interaction.

HOPB Church Building Additions PROJECT STATEMENT SUMMARY The project is the design of an additional church building development that can conveniently accomodates over 2,000 seats for worshipers The project site consists of 110,120 sq. feet, approximately two and half acres of land. The main purpose is to accomodate over 2,000 worshipers in one service at a time. It is located in 6101 Maravia park drive, Baltimore, Maryland.
