Christmas Carol Service p.15
The Square Mile may be chilly and the nights may be darker, but don’t let the cold keep you at home this season – the City of London’s line up of events is sure to fire things up this winter.
Look out for Women Work & Power events, each one is marked with this icon.
An ancient City tradition, the Lord Mayor’s Show p.13 returns to the Square Mile for its 803rd ceremony. Witness pomp and pageantry as the new Lord Mayor takes to the streets in an antique gold coach, flanked by marching bands, horses and floats as he makes his way to Westminster.
Get into the Christmas Spirit with some festive shopping at the City Christmas Fair p.14, or head to the magnificent St Paul’s Cathedral for their Christmas Carol Service p.15. If you fancy a break from the festivities, head over to the Guildhall Art Gallery for their latest exhibition on the depiction of children throughout the 19th century: Seen and Heard: Victorian Children in the Frame p.7, or immerse yourself in the Barbican’s Royal Shakespeare Company season p.16 & p.19.
