ARCHITECTURE OF LONDON
400 years of London’s architecture through the eyes of artists
ARCHITECTURE OF LONDON
London’s cityscape has inspired visiting and resident artists for over four centuries. From vast panoramas to everyday views, this major new exhibition depicts the capital from a range of vantage points, reflecting the rich diversity of its buildings. With 80 works by over 60 artists, the exhibition draws from the City Corporation’s extensive collection of London paintings. It features works on loan from national as well as private collections, including masterpieces by Canaletto*, Frank Auerbach and Catherine Yass, among others. cityoflondon.gov.uk/architectureoflondon #ArchitectureOfLondon Architecture of London forms part of ‘Fantastic Feats: the building of London’, running 31 May to 1 December 2019. cityoflondon.gov.uk/fantasticfeats For more to do in the Square Mile visitthecity.co.uk @visitthecity *The Canaletto is on display until end of October 2019.
