Zero waste trend
SYSTEMIC AND DYNAMICS ORGANIZATION
Meaning the waste as a resource, waste minimization, low loss of nutritional properties, energy waste tending to zero.
1, 3 BILLION OF TONS OF WASTE FOOD 20% CONSUMER
WORLD POPULATION 2012 6,9 BILLION 2050 9,1 BILLION
20% DISTRIBUTION
60% PRODUCTION
3, 9 BILLION TONS OF FOOD PRODUCTION
THE MAJORITY OF UNSUSTAINABLE HUMAN ACTIVITY ARE LINKED TO PRODUCTION, TRANSFORMATION, DISTRIBUTION AND CONSUMPTION OF FOOD Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, United Nations (2004)
Scenario Kitchen 2030 The organization of the food will be through elements of size reduced compared to the current situation and the appliances will be more subtle, smaller and consume less. The elements that compose the kitchen furniture will be movable and able to exploit the natural cycles. The consumption will be more sensitive in view of environmental and economic savings. A kitchen that uses the natural cycles (use of energy, water resources, waste), that feeds on itself, preserves the food and eliminate waste in order to regenerate it. Each individual output becomes the source of an input. Then a house that looks like a biological machine, comparable to the human body, which filters, works and reuses waste. Features Visibility food, minimum quantities, horizontal element, small size, different temperatures, different humidity, specific foods, specific materials and technologies, reducing material.
Changing habits
IN THE FUTURE WILL BREAK WITH WAYS TO BE AND DO YET KNOWN. Maintaining a condition of individual freedom, democratization of the product and the minimization of the time.

IN THE LOGIC OF SIMULTANEITY OPERATING PRODUCTS INTERACT AND HELP EACH OTHER IN RECOVERY, CONSERVATION AND USE OF THE FOOD AND ITS WASTE.
The project is part of a regenerative process and social learning in which are clear the limits of our planet. unsustainability : LIMITS OF RESOURCES sustainability : REGENERATIVE SOCIETY transition : SOCIAL LEARNING PROCESS context : PLANETARY CITIES WITH A GLOCAL VISION daily life : SUSTAINABLE LIFE
Concept In the implementation of a system model connected to the blue economy, changes the meaning of the food container. It’s a dynamic organization in which the container is no longer used just during transport and storage of food, but it becomes an integral part of the dematerialized kitchen system, flexible, simplified and provides a service occupying functions of storage, processing and food processing . The virtuous container is an integrated system for the storage of food and is also involved in reuse and recover waste. The concept of true food is a regenerative process and social learning by participating in the consolidation of the cultural system contrary to the waste. Aims to encourage responsible individual choices by shifting the focus from things to the result, educating for sustainable consumption.

Urban Survival Kit Better living through better eating is the aim of Urban Survival Kit. Eolo and Efesto are only the first two components of this family of instruments inspired by basic and sustainable. principles. Eolo, a dryer which works through heat, wind and silica gel, and Efesto, a smoker from the counter. The goal of the project is that each person can, by selecting the products, composing his kit for the urban survival. The materials are mainly wood and ceramics. Totally dismantled. Handcrafted product.
EOLO the dryer
Eolo, the dryer, use a natural drying process through the combination of wind, warmth and silica gel. The shape is designed to wick sweat away, to allow a flexible placement and to protect the food from insects or other animals. Eolo can be hung thanks to a ring on the top of the product to be always exposed to the sun or heat derived from other sources (sun, radiator), rather than be placed in a worm place thanks to the rigid base. The materials used are ceramic and wood to carry on the idea of a possible natural lifestyle.
cut food or waste place them on top and dry thanks in sliced. to the silica gel, the sun or near a heat source.
cook foods and waste dried.

Components
mesh fabric protection from insects ceramic container for silica gel made by casting perforated beechwood disc support for food made with the lathe
steel ring by suspension
EFESTO the smoker
Efesto, the smoker, can preserve food by exposing it to the smoke from burning or smoldering plant materials. It consists of two levels, the first, which forms the base, it is where happen a controlled combustion; the second level, enables the placement of the food to be smoked. The cover is characterized by a small cone which acts as a vent to manage the circulation of the fumes.

marta-zanotti@hotmail.com +39 340 68 01 699
Francesco Marini, Alessandro Nedrotti and Marta Zanotti, a collective of three young designers whose collaboration was born since their early years of university research. The trio has felt strengthened through project affinity and shared research interests. Furthermore, the collaboration unifies their various individual skills and lead to a complete design process in all its forms. Inspired by contact and dialogue with other realities abroad, an approach emerges that is critical to both sustainability and objects as social connectors. The collective adopts this dynamic cosmopolitanism to explore the role of design as a mediator between cultural tradition and new forms of global communication. They work continuously as an ongoing experimentation on details and materials, with the objective to create not an algid or technologically virtuous project, but rather products which speak for themselves.
Thanks.
