HIGH SPEED AND COST EFFICIENT OIL SPILL RECOVERY SYSTEM Oil spills and potentially large-scale environmental disasters represent a daily challenge for the oil & gas- and shipping industry worldwide. The MOS Sweeper system can be deployed and ready to use in less than 30min, which ensures a fast response during an emergency. The V-shaped MOS Sweeper is designed to be operated from a single vessel like a traditional fish trawl. The design of the MOS Sweeper uses the law of hydrodynamics to recover the oil more efficiently and on nature’s terms. The system has a unique maneuverability compared to other conventional booms, and is very cost effective vs towing with two boats.

Towing with a speed of 4.5 knots, the design of the MOS Sweeper uses the law of hydrodynamics to recover the oil more The MOS Sweeper technology consists of many well-tested efficiently and on nature’s terms principles from maritime industries. MOS Sweeper has proven its strong capabilities in harsh weather with high waves and strong currents.

UNIQUE SINGLE VESSEL OIL SPILL RECOVERY SYSTEM The MOS Sweeper is a complete single vessel oil containment and recovery system, which can chase, collect and pump oil during operation from the ocean back to the towing vessel. This is achieved by a direct pump in the rear end of the sweeper system. The Marine Oil Spill Sweeper is a multi-barrier system consisting of deflectors in a herringbone pattern for concentrating the oil in the water. Dependent on size, the MOS Sweeper range can be operated from supply- or offshore supply vessels, fishing vessels, coast guard vessels and stand-by vessels. The MOS Sweeper ranges in size from 50m to 15m.
The Oil slick is recovered by the MOS Sweeper. By nature, the hydrodynamic currents caused by the MOS Sweeper design elegantly leads the oil spill back through the system. Testing at Ohmsett New Jersey 2011.

EGERSUND GROUP Egersund Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pelagic trawls and aquaculture nets to the fishing and fish farming industries. Established in 1952, with over 1200 employees in 9 countries. Total group revenues in 2014 was appr. NOK 1.8 Billion.
R&D / PRODUCTION The modern production facility is located in Egersund, Norway, strategically situated by the North Sea. We have experienced and dedicated people in-house, ready to provide you with MOS Sweeper systems and aftermarket services. Norway is one of the few countries that benefits from full-scale, offshore oil-on-water exercises organized annually by NOFO. These events provide Egersund Group with a unique knowledge base for testing, understanding and improving products and oil spill preparedness.
HSE AND SAFE DECK OPERATIONS The MOS Sweeper is designed with focus on HSE and safe operations for crew, vessel and nature. Both permanent and plug & play solutions are available. The handling / transfer system is designed for outmost safe deck operations. We would very much like the opportunity to discuss the MOS Sweeper system with you in more detail and we look forward to speaking to you in the very near future.
