Wilsons Promontory National Park and Cape Conran Coastal Park now have accommodation and equipment to make it easier for people with a disability and their families and carers to enjoy their stay. Cabins are equipped with ramps, electric high low beds and accessible bathrooms. A personal hoist is also available free of charge. Visitors can also use all-terrain wheelchairs to access the stunning beaches or the parks’ spectacular trails. These are also available at the Grampians and Point Nepean National Parks. Be safe around and on the water Most water-related accidents can be avoided by knowing how to stay safe and following a few simple guidelines: • Always swim between the red and yellow flags on the beach • Always supervise children near water • Never swim alone • Know how to identify a rip current • Pay attention to warnings and information signs • Look before you leap and never turn your back on the sea • Have lifejackets for all on board a boat • Do not drink alcohol and either swim, surf, fish from the rocks or operate a boat.
