ILLUSTRATION
One Day Cuisines One Day Cuisines is a series of semi realistic arts that i made as part of my study for still life drawing. The idea came from several times browsing about food illustrations and at that time i was very amazed by the ability of the arts to lured out my appetite. From there i’m motivated to learn about the food illustration, and my goal is to create illustrations that have the equal power to lure out appetite as the one that food photography has. For this projects i want to create several dishes that people are familliar with, so i tried to make foods that people would probably have for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack.
Tamago kake gohan or Tamago gohan in short is a popular Japanese breakfast food consisting of cooked rice topped or mixed with raw egg and—optionally—soy sauce.
Bento is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento holds rice, fish or meat, with pickled or cooked vegetables, usually in a box-shaped container.
Donburi is a Japanese “rice bowl dish consisting of fish, meat, vegetables or other ingredients simmered together and served over rice. Donburi meals are served in oversized rice bowls also called donburi.

Vocaloid lyric Book Vocaloid lyric book is a book to accompeny the reader when singing Vocaloid songs. it contains lyric both in japanese and roma ji, and it also come with a karaoke CD. Vocaloid is a technology for singing voice synthesis developed by Yamaha, and the name of this software application. The software allows users to input melody and lyrics in order to synthesize singing. In other words, with this technology, singing can be produced without a singer. Singing voice synthesis is produced by using fragments of voices recorded from actual singers, called the Singer Library. By changing this Singer Library, various voices such as Miku Hatsune and Gakupoid are able to be created. The book consists of 1 profile picture for each characters (Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, and Megurine Luka), and 3 pictures of the highlighted songs for each characters. The aim for each song illustrations is to be able to convey the emotions or story in the song through visual medium.
Bewitched Manga Bewitched is an original manga inspired by one of Vocaloid’s song called “Ma jo” or Witch hunt in english. The comic is heavily influenced by Japanese manga style and mostly uses digital screentone. The idea is to develop the story from ‘Ma jo’ into something that is more than just a lyric for people to hear. I want to create a bittersweet love story between a mortal and a witch, with Europe (18th century) as the background time and setting. This project was made in sequential art class, and I am very happy that I have the opportunity to create my first comic book, aside of that I also learned to use digital screentone.
Constellations Constellations is a series of artworks (fanarts) of a Japanese animation film called Lovelive!. the artworks features two of the main characters in the show. The left one is Kotori Minami and the right one is Nozomi Tojo. The anime is actually an adaptation of the Lovelive! game, and inside the game people can collect the cards with the characters in differents costume. For this project however, I chose the constellation costume because I think it is very unique and it is also quite a challenge because the costume is quite complex.
Hanakotoba In Japanese, hanakotoba means the language of flowers. In this personal project, I want create artworks based on the meaning of flowers. I think it is a very challenging things, because creating the mood and visual to match the meaning of each flowers is quite hard. For this project I created 3 pieces, but I will produce more in the future since I decided that this will be a long term project. The first two artworks are the newest pieces from 2016 and it features the wisteria flower. In flower language it means Love, grace and bliss. The second image is Sakura, in the flower languages sakura means kindness and gentle. The last artwor is from 2015, it features the spider lily. In the flower language it means never to meet again, lost memory, and Abandonment
Spring Blossom Spring blossom is a personal project that is heavily influenced by art nouveau (art movement). The inspiration of this piece is from Alphonse Mucha’s art nouveau style. The combination of female figure with organic pattern as well as plants created a very feminine vibe from the piece. I am very mesmerized by Mucha’s artworks, as they are very detailed, elegant and I simply cannot take my eyes off his works. I love how the female is always potrayed with elegancy and natural beauty. This is a mixmedia piece, the tools that were used in this project are copic marker, brown liner, ink, posca white marker, and watercolor.
Birth Flower This are 2 of 12 illustrations that I used for pre press printing midterm projects. The illustrations are all done in traditional media, I use watercolor as the main media, and refine certain areas with copic marker. The illustrations were scanned and converted into table calendar, all the binding process were done by hands, including the calendar cover (linocut).
Fanarts Fanarts from anime and games, here I made a full copic art for DMM famous online game called Touken Ranbu. His name is Mikazuki Munechika. He is a gijinka of a famous sword from Japan. The other piece is a full color pencil art of a famous anime called NO Game No Life. Her name is Shiro. To be honest I didn’t play or watch both the game and anime, but I really love the visual and character design, and before I realized it I already scribbled the images in my sketchbook. As for the No Game No Life piece, it was actually done during my coloring study with brown paper.
