OVERTURE TO OPERA IT

This series of operas in condensed version with narrator, based on the works to be produced by the Metropolitan Opera Company in its 1963 Detroit season, will be performed by members of two distinguished Detroit opera companies, the Celeste Cole Opera Workshop, Celeste Cole, Director, and the Michigan Opera Company, John Sweeney, Director , with other non-affiliated singers.

Following each opera, an informal panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Roy T. Will, Chairman, Department of Music, Wayne State University. Dr. Will is also the Producer-Director of the Overture to Opera II series.
