Cherubini (1760-1842) was one of the most influential compoeere of the early nineteenth century. Beethoven greatly admired his operas and wrote, "I love and honor you, and of all my contemporaries I place you the highest." Today Cherubini is unjustly neglected.
The one act opera TM Parlu, uueInn (L'Osteria Portogeae).was firet performed in Paris in 1789. The American premiere was performed by the San Francisco Opera Company in 1954. Overture to Opera VI is pleased to present the Michigan premiere of TM Portusuue Inn.
