MURIEL GREENSPON-Guest Artist
Muriel Greenspon is the winner of the 1960 Gr innell Award and recent recipient of the Tyrone Guthrie Award from the Stratford Festival Theater. She made her professional opera debut in New York with the New Y ork City Opera Company and has performed with leadi ng opera companies throughout the country . Miss Greenspo n was selected b y M e notti to sing the role of the Mother in "The Consul " in his supervised production for the New York City Center last year. She gained national attention for her role of Mrs . Begbick in the North American premiere of Kurt Weill ' s "Mahagonny ."
