INTEGRATED WALKABLE HISTORICAL PRECINT Integrated Walkable Historical Precint is the end result of the task of URBAN DESIGN STUDIO 1 located in the Asian-African heritage area, Bandung. The design area covers the Asia Africa Road corridor, Jalan Braga corridor, Jalan Soekarno corridor, West Cikapundung Road corridor, Banceuy Street corridor and Jalan Naripan corridor. Â The purpose of designing URBAN DESIGN STUDIO 1 is to develop a regional development vision and mission; compile regional design principles based on the results of problem identification and evaluation in the design area and design the design area with intervention in each element of the city design in order to create an area that is in accordance with the design vision and mission. ASIA-AFRIKA : INTEGRATED WALKABLE HISTORICAL PRECINT URBAN DESIGN STUDIO 1
Asia Africa area is located in the center of Bandung with a variety of activities. Asia Africa area is a historical area that provides factual information on the conditions of its era. The development of urban activites requires public service facilities such as public spaces, public transportation, transit area for pedestrians and so on. This historic downtown area consists of the Alun-Alun area, Asia Africa street corridor area, Cikapundung River area and Braga street corridor. The government of Bandung made a policy to restore the activities of the old city and moving thr government activities to Gedebage area. The old city area will be directed into an area with economic activities with rules that prioritize protection of old buildings.

Preservation
Land use in the site is dominated by commercial area, most building function are private office, banking and commercial building. In this area there are also located some preservation buildings that function as supporting tourism and government office. Another fun`ction is there is an open space (plaza) named Cikapundung Riverspot and also public spaces in the border of the Cikapundung river
optimizing public space and historical function through mixed use
Buildings in the site area generally do not have KTB except BRI Tower. 56% of buildings in the site area have a KDB value of more than 70% so that it is not in accordance with the standards requested by the 2015 Bandung RDTR. This is not much different from the KLB conditions which 13 buildings exceed the KLB standards that should be. Whereas the KDH in the area does not reach 20% per building lot. Whereas GSB is dominated by buildings that have GSB 0
Asia-Africa area is included in a special area, namely an area with certain characters that have environmental quality and architecture, in the form of historical areas, conservation areas, and preservation. Signage contained in the planning area consist of non commercial sign, commercial sign, traffic sign, freestanding sign, wall sign, roof and canopy sign, window sign, monument sign, projecting sign, flag and banner sign
WALKABLE PUBLIC SPACE
Providing integrated public open space with pedestrian oriented street and create a better pedestrian connector between site and sourrounding area
HISTORICAL PRESERVATION
INTEGRATED MIXED-USE
strengthen the image of the conservation area of the Asia Africa through preserve the historical corridors and hostorical buildings
Designing a mixed-use area that is integrated and connected with the aourrounding area to create vibrant and modern sequences
The activity in the site area generally are street ven- In general pedestrian movement starts from the dors, this is because the site area is dominated by north (Braga) which is the center of activity and also commercial activities. functions as a parking area. Then pedestrians move towards the riverspot to relax and take pictures, then mostly the pedestrians movement is divided, some move towards the KAA building and Gedung Merdeka museums and others move towards the alun alun and Masjid Kota Bandung which are the largest public open spaces in the design area
In the site area there are 3 corridors that have strong historical characteristics, seen from the many cultural heritage buildings and old buildings that support the existence of cultural heritage buildings, namely the Asia Africa street corridor, Braga street corridor and part of the Cikapundung Barat street corridor. In the site area there are 4 class A cultural heritage buildings namely Majestik Building, Gedung Merdeka, PLN Building and PTPN Building.
masterplan concept
Land Use
The land use plan will be implemented in the site area will be adjusted to the 2015 City RDTR of Bandung which establishes this area as a commercial area. However, because this area also consists of preservation buildings, the area will be used as a function of tourism and government offices. As for the river border area, it is used as a green open space as well as the existence of the Cikapundung Riverspot, which is already in existence but will still be revitalized to be able to maximize its function as a public space
ASIA-AFRIKA : INTEGRATED WALKABLE HISTORICAL PRECINT URBAN DESIGN STUDIO 1
Building Massing and Intensity
The concept is to support the image of the area as a preservation and commercial area through mixed use buildings. Buildings on Jalan Asia Afrika and Jalan Braga will be sought so that GSB 0 in order to strengthen the existing image is formed by the preservation building. Significant changes occur in buildings that are non-preservation by redesigning buildings with high buildings in an effort to provide added reason in the building that has a commercial function. However, all of these will follow regulations that require a maximum of 70% KDB and 2.1 KLB. On the other hand, there is also an effort to increase the Basement Coefficient (KTB) to fulfill the number of parking requirements, but this is still in the Bandung City RDTR regulation by not placing it under the green Area. It will be endeavored to increase the Green Region Coefficient (KDH) in the planning area so that it can provide comfort and support the concept of walkablelity of the planning area
ASIA-AFRIKA : INTEGRATED WALKABLE HISTORICAL PRECINT URBAN DESIGN STUDIO 1
Activity Support
With the theme of the historical area which has various functions of its supporting activities, the activities within the Asia-Africa region are tourism (KAA Museum), recreation (Cikapundung Riverspot), foodcourt, offices and commercial. To support the mixed use concept in the site area, the first floor in the buildings are use as the commercial area and accessible for pedestrians, it also aims to create an active frontage area.
Pedestrians Movement
The concept of pedestrian circulation is to connect the centers of activity in the study area. The circulation of the pedestrian also indirectly connects the community from Jalan Braga and Alun - alun, so that the community is able to access the Museum of Asia Africa, Gedung Merdeka and Cikapundung Riverspot. as a pedestrian attraction, new activity centers are added in the form of food plazas and commercial areas
Linkage
Green Open Spaces
The concept of open space is to integrate all existing green space to support human movement from every point of activity. The main intervention that will be carried out is by building open green open space in the northern part of the planning area which is directly matched with the construction of pedestrian lines to support human movement from the direction of Jalan Braga to the alun alun Bandung
Linkage concept in the circulation lane of motor vehicles is expected to be able to access all activity centers in the study area. Therefore the provision of parking spaces for vehicles is very important. In the study area the parking lot is centrally located at 2 locations. Access to and from the parking lot is located on Jalan Braga and Jalan Banceuy. The two road corridors were chosen because they have a traffic flow that tends to be less congested. The road has a low current traffic density while Banceuy Road has a moderate traffic flow density.`
Signage
Signage will be designed with various functions, namely: Directions, which will be positioned at crossroads and in certain locations to make it easier for users to find a specific location or direction. Building identity, which will be positioned in each building as needed. Non-commercial sign, will be built along the pedestrian route and at Cikapundung Riverspot.

MASTERPLAN GREEN CBD TELUK BAYUR PANGKALPINANG Pangkalpinang City in Bangka island is the capital of Bangka Belitung Province and is part of the Southeast Asia tin belt zone expanding from Riau archipelago, Bangka Belitung to Karimun Island. Pangkalpinang City was taken up the role as the centre of tin mining, distribution and administration since the Dutch colonial era. However, its role starts to fade over time, due to world’s tin price fall, mining practice limitation, tight tourism competition with the neighbouring Belitung Island, and also the currently emerged environmental disasters such as big flood affecting the prominent areas of the city. Pangkalpinang City Municipality is starting to develop strategies specifically to improve the quality of built environment and image of the city. One of the strategies is to develop the Teluk Bayur area that heavily lacks in both aspects in becoming the new Central Business Ditrict (CBD) of Pangkalpinang developed with ecological consideration and green concept. The area is planned to be a mixed- use district aiming to generate economic growth and improve the image of the Teluk Bayur area in particular, hence Pangkalpinang City and Bangka Belitung Province in general. ACTIVE SPORT HUB The highest and best used in facilities programming aims to create new creative spaces in an area by considering the best functions that can be applied to the region. This project is located on Jalan Merdeka Bandung, taking the site of the ex-Panti Karya cinema building. The design location is located in the center of Bandung and facing one of the shopping centers in Bandung. Determining the function of land in accordance with the surrounding context and the creative function of the land is one of the objectives of the design of this area. The selection of land functions is based on activities that occur around the design area and also estimates the needs of regional users. Panti Karya, once experienced its glorious period as a renowend cinema in Bandung untul it was permanently closed in the 1980s. Located in the middle og two busy shopping malls, BIP and BEC, this site actually has the potential to be brought back into life. According tou our analysis, the area of the building is desirable to be a sports hub while at the sime time becomes a new connector between the malls. TRANSPORMING PRAWIROTAMAN : FROM TOURIST DISTRICT INTO TOURIST CLUSTER URBAN DESIGN THESIS
Tourist cluster as a medium to reflect the socio-cultural values of the region have issues related to the rapid development of urban areas, these conditions result in the squeeze of public spaces that can support the continuity of activities, social and cultural value in the area. The street corridor that is part of the regional structure acts as a connector and linear open space between buildings that can be used as a medium to reflect the social and cultural values of the cluster. Prawirotaman Yogyakarta functions as an accommodator of tourist who are generally foreign tourist in Yogyakarta. The function of Prawirotaman area only as a tourist accommodator results the open space of the area lifeless, the street corridor is only used as a connector for motorized vehicles and tourist activity are only centered in the buildings, whereas many tourism potentials in Prawirotaman can be appointed to make it as a tourist cluster, as well as the daily life of the people (living culture), socio-culture values.

FILL IN KAMPONG 80 percent of the largest cities are vulnerable to severe impacts from natural disasters and all cities face new impacts caused by climate change. Over the last decade, natural disasters affected more than 220 million people and caused economic damage of USD $100 million per year. As climate continues to change and the adverse impacts of disasters increase in cities, there is an imminent need for urban cities to be resilient. Urban resilience is the capacity of individuals, communities, institutions, businesses and systems within a city to survive, adapt, and grow no matter what kind of chronic stresses and acute shocks they experience. Urban cities are complex with highly interdependent systems, where its people and enterprises are dependent on infrastructure networks, communication systems etc. for their well-being. Fill in Kampong is vertical housing built to responds existing issue in site. Site located at Gedebage Bandung which has complex issue. Main issue in Gedebage is flood because Bandung has very high rainfall with the highest number (418.7mm). Beside that Gedebage is basin area surrounded by volcanic highlands. Cinambo river as main river in the site is estuary from three large river in Bandung. The next issue is according to Detail Spatial Paln, Gedebage is planed as New Primary Center by private developer. This development will built on existing paddy fields. Paddy fiels is one of source of the liveholds of people in this district and the habitat of Blekok (West Java typical bird). This development will elimate the livehoods of nearby residents, take up residential land and also threaten the extinction of Blekok due to destruction of Blekok habitat.
