PORSCHE 918 SPYDER

Porsche has confirmed that its 918 Spyder supercar will go into production. A concept version of the revolutionary plug-in hybrid model with CO2 emissions of 70g/km despite boasting true supercar performance. This includes 0-62mph in 3.2sec and a 198mph top speed.

The SLS AMG GT3 will be powered by a 600 horsepower version of AMG’s recently announced twin-turbocharged 5.5-Liter V8. Prevalent use of carbon fiber exterior is expected to keep weight to a minimum. Lotus Evora S

0-100 KM/H IN 4.6 SECONDS, 277KM/H TOP SPEED

Lotus will unveil a pumped-up version of the Evora Sportscar at the Paris Motor Show next month.The Evora S is fitted with a supercharged 345ch 3.5litre V6 engine, that's 69ch more than the standard car. That means the Evora S is 0.3 seconds faster from 0-100km/h than the normal Evora, and the top speed is 10km/h faster.

MERCEDES GIVES A MID-LIFE FACELIFT TO THE CL AND S-CLASS

FERRARI F458 CHALLENGE

Ferrari has revealed its new 458 Challenge, a lighter and faster version of its mid-engined supercar. Unveiled at Maranello, the 458 Challenge has the same direct-injection, 4.5-litre V8 powerplant as the regular car, producing 562bhp. Ferrari has reduced the thickness of the 458's body panels, and made greater use of lightweight materials such as carbonfibre and Lexan. Ferrari claims that the 458 Challenge can generate lateral forces of up to 1.6g, and that it laps the firm's Fiorano test circuit in 1m 16.5sec; that's around two seconds faster than the F430 Challenge car. We cannot wait to test-drive the Scuderia...

The latest versions of the new Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG and S63 AMG models will come with a seven-speed multi-clutch transmission and will be fit with a new twin-turbo V8 with 536hp. Continuing its flagship role within the new line-up will be the S65 AMG. It retains the same twinturbocharged 6.0-litre V12 engine as the existing model, with 603bhp. Ferrari a révélé sa nouvelle 458 Challenge, une version plus légère et plus rapide de sa supercar. Dévoilé à Maranello, la 458 Challenge dispose du V8 4.5 litres à injection directe de 562ch identique au modèle de série. The DB9 will receive a new bumper, new grill, new headlights and the sills get a re-shape.There are also new alloys, silver brake callipers and clear light lenses. Under the skin the changes are more significant, The new DB9 gets an Active Damping System (ADS) to give better comfort, including a Sport mode. There’s also a new tyre pressure monitoring system, a Bluetooth system, new trim finishes and a B&O hi-fi option.

La nouvelle DB9 recevra un nouveau pare-choc, une nouvelle grille avant, de nouveaux phares et une nouvelle forme pour les bas de caisse. De nouvelles jantes seront disponibles ainsi que des étriers de freins argents. Sous sa carrosserie, la nouvelle DB9 recevra des modifications plus signifiantes telles que l’Active Damping System (ADS) pour donner un meilleur confort, avec un mode Sport disponible, elle disposera aussi d’un capteur électronique pour la pression des pneus, un système Bluetooth, de nouvelles finitions intérieures et un ensemble hi-fi B&O en option.

Edo Competition a modifié la LP670 avec un moteur de 710ch pour une vitesse maximale de 360km/h. Les clients peuvent personaliser leur véhicule avec des themes dessiné par Christian Audigier.

The 71 lap Brazilian Grand Prix will be a true test of durability, heightened by the fact that the race is run in an anti-clockwise direction. The 4.3km circuit consists of 15 medium and slow speed corners, ten left and five right, and has a blend of long, fast straights and gradient changes.

Yas Marina Circuit, venue of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, was designed as an Arabian version of Monaco, the twenty-one corners twists through the man made island off the Abu Dhabi coast, passing by the marina and through the Yas Hotel with several long straights and tight corners.

Singapore’s all new street circuit weaves through the Marina Bay area of the city in an anti-clockwise direction. Similar to Monaco in its layout, the 5.067km lap of Singapore is dominated by slow speed corners (24 in total, 14 left and 10 right) and has only a handful of higher speed connectingstretches, the highest of which being Raffles Boulevard on which the drivers reach 190mph.

Designed as a Honda test track in 1962 by John Hugenholtz, Suzuka is one of few circuits in the world to have a figure 8 layout. The Korean Grand Prix is a planned Formula One race to be held in South Korea. After months of speculation, on October 2, 2006 it was confirmed that the event would actually take place in 2010, and would be hosted by the Korean International Circuit (Jeonnam), set to be built between 2007 and July 2010.

World Record suite Wolfsburg/Molsheim, July 4, 2010 – on a beautiful sunny day at 25 degrees the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport achieved a new landspeed world record for production cars, on the proving grounds of the Volkswagen Group at Ehra-Lessien (nearby its headquarters at Wolfsburg). In the presence of the German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) and a representative of Guinness Book of Records the Super Sport achieved an average top speed of 431 km/h. Hihiwin Saturday, 2 pm – Bugatti’s Pilote Officiel Pierre Henri Raphanel puts his helmet and gloves on, pulls the safety belts tight whilst the engineers check the car a very last time: tyre pressure, temperature, all systems go. Then the orange black Super Sport crosses the light barrier, from now on the time will be taken, within one hour the car has to drive from South to North and then in the opposite direction. No one but the driver is allowed to touch the car during this time. The tension rises. A few minutes later we can hear from the left side the sound of a starting jumbo jet coming closer towards us. First we perceive the headlights of the Veyron, then we can recognize the shape of the car, a loud wooosh… and Raphanel dashes in top speed past us. The GPS-tachometer stops at 427, 933 km/h. Now the same procedure from the opposite direction. This time the car reaches 434, 211 km/h. As average top speed the representatives of the “TÜV”and Guinness generate a value of 431, 072 km/h (268 mph). This even hit Bugatti’s engineering team by surprise.

C’est alors que la Super Sport orange et noire franchit la barrière photoélectrique ; à compter de ce moment là, le temps est compté, en l’espace d’une heure la voiture doit effectuer un trajet du Sud vers le Nord et ensuite dans le sens inverse. Il est interdit de toucher à la voiture durant ce trajet. La tension monte. Quelques minutes plus tard, un vrombissement assourdissant retentit sur la gauche, de plus en plus fort, comme si un jumbo jet était sur le point de décoller. On reconnaît tout d’abord les phares de la Veyron, puis sa silhouette, on perçoit un bruit strident… et Pierre- Henri Raphanel passe à une vitesse fulgurante devant nous. Le compteur reste bloqué à 427,933 km/h. Maintenant, la même chose en sens inverse. Cette fois-ci, le bolide atteint la vitesse de 434,211 km/h. Les représentants du TÜV et du Livre Guiness établissent la vitesse de pointe moyenne à 431,072 km/h. Même les ingénieurs de Bugatti sont étonnés par ce record de vitesse.

This enables the engine to accelerate the 2360 kilogram vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4,5 seconds and therewith saves 0,4 seconds in comparison to the serial version. Thanks to the revoked speed limit, acceleration is no longer limited to 250, but rather to 290 km/h. Upon improved performance the wheel dimensions have also grown. MANSORY created a new design especially for the White Ghost Limited. Its innovative configuration harmonises perfectly with the design of White Ghost Limited. The massive compact wheels with a diamond-polished surface measure an impressive 22 inches. The 9 inch front axle wheels are equipped with 265/35 Dunlop SP SportMaxx high-performance tyres, while the rear axle features 10.5 inch wheels with a tyre size of 295/30.

The heart of the new MP4-12C is the Carbon MonoCell. McLaren pioneered the use of carbon composite construction in the 1981 Formula 1 MP4/1 model and set a trend that all Formula 1 teams have followed. The company brought carbon fibre to road cars for the first time with the 1993 McLaren F1 and then built on this experience with a carbon fibre chassis and body on the SLR manufactured to the same exacting standards, but in higher volumes. Pure McLaren All the parts of the McLaren MP4-12C are bespoke and unique to this car. Everything from the engine right down to the tailor-made switches and buttons is pure McLaren: nothing has come from another manufacturer’s parts bin. The 12C is powered by a bespoke McLaren ‘M838T’ 3.8 litre, V8 twin-turbo engine producing around 600bhp, driving through a McLaren seven speed Seamless Shift dual clutch gearbox (SSG).

Do you have a par ticular favourite? I can say that there are looks and there are performances so my number one for looks is the DBS Aston Martin and performances the Porsche Carrera GT.

Quelle serait votre modèle préféré ? Je peux dire qu’il y a le look et les performances ; donc mon choix numéro un pour le look est l’Aston Martin DBS, et celui pour les performances est la Porsche Carrera GT.

Tell us about your ‘Track Days’? That’s when I really get to enjoy my cars, It enables me to drive them on a track to its full potential in a safe and sometimes competitive environment, it’s an exhilarating day! I must admit though that when I can find a stretch of empty road I like going for it.

Par lez-nous des journées que vous passez sur circuits ? C’est le moment ou je profite vraiment de mes voitures. Cela me donne la possibilité d’exploiter pleinement, et en sécurité, leur puissance maximale, parfois même dans une ambiance de compétition, c’est enivrant. Mais je dois admettre que quand je me trouve une route peu fréquentée, j’aime appuyer sur l’accélérateur !

Is it true you are invited by car brands and dealers to test drive the latest models? Yes... it’s a hard job but someone has to do it!! I get invited to test drive supercars on a track, in this arena you can really fall in love with it once you take it to its highest potential. I have purchased a few of my own collection this way such as the SLS Mercedes or the Aston.

What will be your next supercar purchase? Definitely the Porsche 918 Spyder in a few years time and the new McLaren MP4 12C.

How do you spend your time when it’s not driving supercars or managing your successful business? I love travelling which I do for business and pleasure, I frequently travel between Europe, New York, sometimes Brazil as well as the Far East, but one of my favourite hotel chain’s has to be Aman Resorts with a preference for Amanpuri in Thailand.. By the way my boat, a Rivarama, is called Amanjunkie II.

Tell us about the real estate business you have built in Monaco? I came to Monaco in 1985, It’s a heaven of luxury combined with some real business opportunities where you can enjoy a great quality of life. I have always worked in real estate so I decided to unite my experience together with an impressive portfolio of clients to develop my own successful real estate agency which was established in 1997. My agency is purely dedicated to the international high end property market, and we have been part of the Knight Frank network for nearly 15 years. Supercars , wor ldwide tr avel and a succes sful business, what ’s next for Peter Van Nieltlwick? Enjoy all these things at the fullest with the experience of a few years and continue to do my job in the best possible way by mainly choosing the people I work with. This is one of the advantages of having a successful business. And like they say “You are only as good as your last deal”.

B.:It is for me “the objective necessity” ! Every time when I am invited for dinner, or party or any other social event, the second question of practically anyone after presentations is always as following: “So, what should I eat?”, or “which cream to use for my skin – I’ve tried different, but my skin still looks tired”, or I am doing Paleolithic (macrobiotic, hyperprotein, other) diet, is it good for me?” ,or “I do sport every day, but I am putting on weight – why?”; “I’ve done the genetic tests – how to use the results?”, “I am taking hormones and multivitamins, but still feel tiered – what to do?”, “should I give the soy products to my daughter of 5 years old?”, “what are the new cosmetic products you can recommend?” ; “I do not sleep well. What should I do?” And many others. It reflects the big request, which exists in our society, but for which we do not have the structured answer. On this occasion, I would like to thank a lot for a big moral support and encouraging - French “Femmes chefs d’Enterprises” and of course Monegasques “Femmes chefs d’’Enterprises” and Monegaque Women Club.

Drive: Vitamins, antioxidants, cosmetics exist for a long time. What makes the prevention today special? E. B.: One of the key points are -genomics, epigenetics, quantum approaches. It is already 10 years we live in officially declared postgenomic era, what practically means: usage of genetic knowledge in our everyday life. Furthermore, mythic International Human Genome Project has been finalized in 2003. Due to it we know the structure of our genes. Many other international projects, like Environmental Genome Project, or Gene-Micronutrient project study further how our genes interact with environment –what we eat, drink, apply on the skin, etc.. But without going into complicated scientific details, it is important to understand that: 1/genetics/genomics today is not associated anymore with diseases only 2/genomics is all about - how our environment (nutrition, lifestyle, stress, cosmetics) can influence “the work” and function of our genes IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE (related areas are: nutrigenomics , cosmetogenomics, phrmacogenomics ) 3/ do not separate your genes from the body! They accompany you every moment: when you drink, eat, sleep, fall in love, argue, or make sport.

Drive: You consult in this field already for 10 years. How it works? E. B.: Practically, the person can perform specific genetic testing for prevention, and the obtained results must always be interpreted together with individual detailed lifestyle/nutrition data. The testing helps to understand – what genetic potential you have? In other words: what you have in your garage: Jeep, sportive car or “mini”. Once we know, it, we can choose what to do – what road will be good for you. And very important point -how to stimulate “the work” of your genes. It is nothing to have with general recommendations – eat green vegetables, drink red wine and do some exercise. It is important also to highlight, that effective prevention is never restricted to geneticsonly. Drive: Have you done it for you? E. B.: Of course! I have started nearly 20 years ago, when I was doing my PhD. I was trying it on myself. At that time it was the early beginning. However, it helped me a lot with allergy and for significant skin improvement. Now I perform specific stimulating courses at least twice per year and adopt other special anti-aging procedures for my lifestyle and genes. Drive: And what about aging and anti-aging? E. B.: Current scientific achievements, longevity, aging studies, and all our life today show – there is no more age. You can practically choose it. Look around: sportsmen of 50 years old become the champions, the image of plump grand mum with white hair and big glasses, who is cooking brownies in her kitchen is replaced by sexy ladies you can see on the beach in colorful swimsuits and with vertiginous décolleté, whispering to unexpectedly arrived teenager “stop call me grand mum!” Or mum… Indeed, the pregnancies after 40 are so common in 21 century. For men the situation is even more advantageous – charming maturity in combination with relief muscles and light, but well applied personalized prevention touch with the “must” – something in the regard, which appears only with age, but is so seductive: sort of the mixture of force and certitude. but… this pleasant picture can be often affected by a really vital problem, when any “tuning” does not help and which is progressively growing…

I have also a pleasure to say, that specific SPA centres are included in the network of “Haute couture” prevention club. It concerns first of all such countries as Switzerland, Russia and SHA centre in Spain, which has received the best 2010 medical SPA award, and where we can proceed with such highly personalized types of programmes. Drive: All it is very exciting. But how “haute couture” prevention club proceeds practically with the members? E. B.: There are several categories of membership. The privileged members will have direct access to personalized advice – through appointments or “on line”, including skype. For this exceptional VIP service the number of places in the club is limited to 50. The highly personalized advice in prevention concerning each particular case and including food, food supplements, cosmetics, wellness, antiaging and many other aspects will be provided – each case is unique. In case of advanced medical advice or analyses, or esthetic/ cosmetic medicine request – the club members will be delegated to reliable specialists. It can be in different countries. We also assume luxury concierge service, which is already available at Cote d’Azur and Russia for our VIP members. Strict confidentiality is respected. The growing network of SPA, which corresponds to the high quality criteria regarding personalization and service, is also making part of “haute couture” prevention approach. For the other members, special conference access and special prices in “haute couture” prevention boutique on line will be available. Drive: Is genetic testing obligatory? E. B.: Genetic testing is never obligatory for ethical reasons. It can be done only in case of the client’s request. However, it does not mean, that we cannot provide the personalized advice without it. There are simply different levels of personalization. Drive.: How old are you? E. B.: Mistake! In our times the right question is – how young are you? And the real criteria of youth are – how many projects you have in your life.

D.: What you mean under the vital problem? E. B.: Chronic fatigue, stress, anxiety, fear, the lost of the life taste… You open the eyes in the morning and the first thoughts appear:”What I should do today? .. But should I? I do not really feel like…” Highly personalized recommendations include not only genetically based programmes, but also socalled brain fitness. Performed together, this advanced approach allows to evoke our genetic and psychological potential. It significantly contributes to anti-fatigue effect.

The 40th anniversary of Range Rover and the launch of the new Evoque was

broadcast live on the Land Rover Facebook page, while the video was streamed

to a further 110 big-name automotive and lifestyle websites across the world. Combined global viewers exceeded 700,000 when measured the morning after

the launch, and tens of thousands more watched on-demand, taking the number

of launch party viewers worldwide close to 2 million. British TV presenter George

Lamb, Land Rover Managing Director Phil Popham, Victoria Beckham and Land

Rover Design Director Gerry McGovern unveiled the new Range Rover Evoque.

Fondée en 1988, leur entreprise symbolise la concrétisation de leur rêve. Ce label « made in Germany », a tout naturellement choisi le Fairmont Monte Carlo et son célèbre virage du Grand Prix de Formule 1 pour célébrer l’arrivée de l’automne. Du 4 au 7 septembre, à l’occasion du départ de la « Route des Grandes Alpes » reliant Monaco au Lac de Genève, 23 voitures étaient exposées devant l’hôtel. Durant l’événement, 42 participants étaient présents pour dévoiler les nouveautés de la marque, recharger leur batterie, partager leurs impressions de conduite et tout simplement vivre une expérience unique sur la Principauté de Monaco.
