MATRIXPHERE MIXED USE PROJECT SEMESTER: VI LOCATION : Nehru Place YEAR: 2019 The project is a large-scale multi-functional building or a set of buildings placed in a larger urban setting like Nehru Place. The core focus is on a commercially viable, economically responsive, Mixed Use Building, with a good balance between commerce and hospitality with an interesting insert of an X-Factor program. The X-factor proposed in the project is an open cinema which enhances the economic factor and links back to one of the primary activity and culture of Nehru Place in the city which helps in reviving the identity of Nehru Place.

The idea is to develop a mixed use project based on ideas derived from the site, an modern aproach based idea and an idea that defines the role of the project in the larger context of the city. MANGALAGIRI PLAZA CRAFTS MUSEUM SEMESTER: IV LOCATION : Vadalapuri Centre YEAR: 2018 The idea is to create an identity through culture, speed and visual conceptions. There is a loss of tangible identity of Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh. There is no sense of pride or cultural consciousness due to upcoming Amravati , capital of the state. The basic premise of the studio was to analyse the cultural and socio economic patterns to recreate the craft , to express identity or transplanted to manifest belonging. The process of creation of this identity starts with the speed of the architecture which connects of their belongingness to Mangalagiri’s culture. This space of work will be based on an abstraction of reveal & conceal explored and analysed. The next step deals with the translation of these visual conceptions into built reality spatiality, form, materiality & symbolism. Lastly it deals with identity an appreciation of Architecture of change & continuity. This is about deciding and articulating local culture & architecture into the overall approach towards the Mangalagiri manifested by our architecture.

WHAT ? Mangalagiri ‘lost’ its identity, by building something in the centre of the town that will not only becomes a symbol for the town that’s near Amravathi but also revive the culture. There was a need to strengthen the core of the town, also at the same time have a connection with the craftsmen so they can revive back. WHY? Mangalagiri’s essential components are its weaving community and temples. It has lost its presence, division between the western and eastern side of Mangalagiri has further led to the problem. Considering the situation where Amravathi is coming up like force that needs to be reckoned with, Mangalgiri has to stand with its identity so neither does it grow under the shadow of the Amravathi nor does it becomes a town which people cross just to get to Amravati HOW ? Through the lens of reveal conceal, From the Vadalapuri centre side, the architecture is only revealing on upper level so that it creates a visual connectivity Whereas , Inside the complex the architecture is concealed but slowly reveals itself and keeps the user intrigued.

NEST COLIVING FOR SINGLE MOTHER SEMESTER: II LOCATION : Gurgaon YEAR: 2017 They say it takes a village to raise a child — but in the modern city, there is no village. It’s not that kids are that hard, it’s that the modern world isn’t build with them in mind. Nest is a new kind of architecture to solve the crisis of single parenting. Nest is a coliving designed for about 5 to 10 single mothers to live together. It’s a home that is A-class toddler safe and provides the play equipment, creche, and the sheer space that kids need. Most important of all, it allows kids to grow together in a child-pack, and mothers to practically and emotionally help each other. It’s the village in city that every small child and mother needs. The design was pursued with considering design principles - in this hierarchy , focus , symmetry and repetition.
