As a female paramedic with the Devon Air Ambulance, I know that when we are not out on a shout, the helicopter is sitting on the tarmac. The two paramedics on call wait in the crew room with the pilot. Every day is different. This morning, I was busy (Photograph courtesy of Peter Stephens) cooking breakfast for the two lads. They were talking about the new motorbike one of them has just bought. I don’t want you to think that just because I’m a woman I get to do the cooking every morning, but I honestly thought my husband was the only one who could manage to burn the boiled eggs until I met these two! We had just sat down at the table when we got the shout. A youngster had chased after his dog that had slipped its lead. The cliff path had given way and they had both gone over the edge. Finish the piece of imaginative writing that has been started. Remember:think carefully about what you want to write stories should have a beginning, a middle and an end (This already has a beginning.) use a dictionary to help with your spelling use adjectives (These are describing words and will make your writing more interesting.) continue writing in the first person.
