SUMMARY The Logistics Support Officer will be responsible for delivery and collection of merchandise, stock, promotional materials and equipment to support community fundraising events, box collections, our in-house lottery and charity shops. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES 1. Deliveries & collections 1.1. Manage collections and deliveries of merchandise, stock for shops, promotional literature, materials and equipment, in a timely and cost effective manner 1.2. Liaise direct with volunteers, fundraisers and members of the public to arrange collections and deliveries 1.3. Ensure all the shops are supplied with stationery and literature and assist them with stock rotation 1.4. Collect and distribute collection boxes in areas not covered by volunteers and to cover for volunteers during illness and holidays 1.5. Present a professional and friendly face of the Trust in all interactions with employees, volunteers and the general public 1.6. Look after the exhibition trailers and ensure these are in the right place at the right time as required 2. Planning & record-keeping 2.1. Liaise with colleagues and use Outlook and other tools to plan and coordinate deliveries and collections to ensure most effective use of time and fuel, eg identify and communicate planned whereabouts to ensure capture all needs in a given area 2.2. Ensure all procedures are carried out diligently and maintain accurate records 3. Health & safety 3.1. Ensure pool vehicles are regularly inspected, check oil, tyres and screenwash, and report any problems immediately 3.2.
