CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT A subtle and key component in an architects work is the ability to manipulate people with their designs. This form of manipulation is not with a negative intent, but a way to evoke certain emotions of the person in the space. This design reacts to the site with the intent to subtly manipulate visitors passing by as well as the businesses that reside in the building. It does this through hints of circulation funneling, eye catching moments, and a grand courtyard that is both inviting and unique to the shape of the courtyard. The kinetic facade of the building not only provides passive shading through different opacities, but also creates a beautiful radial affect when opening that highlights beautiful views of the site and helps with solar gain of a space. This design seeks to create an inviting and exciting space for pedestrians of every nature.

BUILDING DEVELOPMENT Pattern Breakdown A voronoi pattern is an algorithmic system that utilizes the intersecting of circles to convey a point grid, that in turn allows one to generate a pattern based on that grid. For me I highlighted different views I wanted expressed in my facade and allowed this to guide where I make circles. I was then able to make the points that were unique to my building and develop a triangular undulating facade.
