Welcome to the 2017 Festival of Learning. Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think. - Albert Einstein It’s so important as a community that we embrace life-long learning and in turn, help build a better future for ourselves and our community. This year’s program is full to the brim with over 70 different opportunities to try something new. Whether you are interested in photography, computers, cooking or art there is an opportunity to participate in something fun, make a new friend or to learn a new skill. Thanks must go to all stakeholders that make up the Devonport Learning Communities Steering Group, formed in 2015 to help guide future opportunities and to develop Devonport into a place to both ‘live and learn’. Without their passion we would not have such a fantastic program. So please take the leap, support the fantastic activities on offer and become a lifelong learner! Mayor Steve Martin
