Art Detour Life, indeed, is a journey with abundant opportunities and limitless detours. What could be more glorious and gratifying than taking chances to keep the f ire of your inner artists ablaze? The Leon Gallery International, in cooperation with the DF Art Agency, presents its latest Art exhibition entitled Art Detour, a novel expression and articulation of conciliation with the Arts and keeping such passion af ire. Art Detour manifests the journey of six exceptional and successful individuals who, while at the peak of their professions, are taking the odds to unleash their inner artists and making their marks in the Art scene. The line of artists included in the exhibition are the esteemed architect Juan Carlo Calma, skilled photographer Jay Yao (Jose Campos III), Korean artist Wonhee Cha Delgado or Whee, notable creative director Tracie Anglo Dizon, Interior Designer Kim Lim, and Pop Culture artist, painter and sculptor Ciane Xavier. The exhibition stages the artists’ personal accounts of passion and zeal in the Arts. A diverse perspective, experiences to embrace their creativity, and journey to break barriers in the f ield of Arts are skillfully expressed and elaborated through their masterpieces. Much of the work created by these artists illustrate their conceived ideologies, life philosophy, and personal values. At the same time, it also introduces the artists’ innovations in form and technique, experimented with different styles, medium, and means of expression. While the exhibit mirrors the artists’ wandering and art detours, it also demonstrates the ways in which such experience is universal. It invites us, viewers, to reflect on our own courses, and to assess whether some aspects of our lives are in need of personal detours and deviation. While divergence and departure for the unknown might be overwhelming and f rightening, such journey compels an individual to look inwardly, to seek the courage to rekindle one’s passion, and to take the odds to embark on a personal quest towards a powerful and awakening destination.

How do you measure spaces between you? By closeness or distance? (Scan the QR Code to play the video) “Quarantine Together” is a series of paintings which explores the politics of space in the context of the pandemic. It shows movements within the limited space and tracks changes in the intimate relationship between two people, and people & space. The series starts with order, the balance of yin and yang, and the measured steps. It ends, albeit in a disarray, of f inding the right piece for the appropriate space, with colours.
