Angelo Quintos (b.1999)
Angelo Quintos is a visual artist, living and working in the Philippines. He is represented by DF Art Agency.
“I am not pursuing perfection through my paintings; rather I strive to create that is true. My work is heavily influenced by life. A lot of my work is based on people around me and what’s going on with the world.
He has a passion for creating the beautiful, the creative, and the memorable. That is what an artist does-takes a vision and transforms it into an exceptional work of art. Angelo believes that art is his gift and that he has the unique ability to express it through different mediums. His art represents his life: No limits.
I spectate and if I feel like the mood is grey then that’s how it’s gonna come out. I never start out actually knowing where the painting is going and when it will end.” - Angelo Quintos

In 2018, he had his f irst show in the Philippines, where he is now based. The group show at Leon Gallery International featured Ian's "In the Near Distance" collection. Today, Ian Anderson’s regular clients are collectors in North America, Europe and Asia. Marrie Saplad (b.1984)
Marrie Saplad, a self-instructed artist, made her mark in Philippine contemporary art scene with her still-life themes featuring everyday objects in monochrome. Her f irst series of work in 2017 depicted transparent glass bottles on white surfaces and linen. She says, “I really want to paint the glass because I f ind the varying reflections on the glass so inspiring. Because of the different reflections surrounding the glass, there will also be different forms that will be seen” (translated f rom Tagalog). Her subjects have been evolving gradually f rom the sculpture
series, the glass series, the hanky series and now, the tea bag series. The rudimentary style of Saplad’s renders and color compositions amalgamated with her emphasis on the subject’s details allow for a mystique that easily captivates any viewer’s attention. The artist’s minimalist, monochromatic style has been widely recognized by her collectors. She was born on Oct. 27, 1984 and is married to fellow visual artist Florante “Pongbayog” Paghari-on. The artist’s personal aesthetics, integrated in his compositions of adjusting balance, perspective, lighting and shadows, textures and depth produce an entirely new representation of altered realities. Pongbayog’s hands at work transform the ordinary into something breathtaking, flaring up the essence and the spirit of his subjects, and celebrating the medium in the work of art.
His monochromatic oil paintings of the human body and images are expressive of the artist’s simulation of truth
