The pop singer, 27, is suing her producer, Lukasz Gottwald (AKA “Dr. Luke”), 41, claiming he sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused her for a decade. In court documents, Kesha states that, after she signed with Luke at 18, he made multiple advances toward her while forcing her to use drugs and alcohol to impair her judgment. ate’s escalating struggle with morning sickness has prompted the 32-year-old Duchess of Cambridge to seek a familiar remedy: a little TLC from mom! While a palace spokesperson says that Kate has been under a doctor’s care at Kensington Palace, she recently ditched the London digs, 15-month-old Prince George in tow, for Buckleberry Manor, her parents Michael and Carole Middleton’s Berkshire estate. “She’s extremely close to Carole, who is a hands-on grandmother,” says a palace insider. “Between Carole and their nanny, Maria [Borallo], Kate has all the help she needs with George.” The move comes after a slew of meet-and-greet no-shows, from an Oxford charity engagement to a scheduled solo trip to Malta. In truth, the spokesperson reveals, “Kate hasn’t made any appearances since we announced the pregnancy.” However, on the evening of Oct. 15, Kate and William were seen exiting Dr. Alan Farthing’s clinic in North London, with big smiles on both of their faces. So if appearances count for anything, the baby is healthy, Kate is feeling better, and she’ll be back to her royal duties in no time.

Why did you sign on for Interstellar? Every one of Chris Nolan’s movies is a pleasure to watch. I couldn’t believe I was going to get to be in one. It’s your frst big studio movie since 2009’s Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Why did you walk away from that kind of lucrative work? After that one, I knew I didn’t want to make any more romantic comedies. I was about to turn 40 and didn’t want to waste my time making a movie that I didn’t feel passionate about. It was a little nerve-wracking to turn down roles that paid a lot of money, but pretty soon word got out not to bother sending me those kinds of scripts. Then, for a while, I had no ofers.

How did you get through that time? Camila was incredibly supportive. We had just had our frst son, and it was important to both of us to be a family. There is so much more to my life than just being an actor. You seem to have mellowed with age. Before I met Camila, I was a bit of a wild boy. She tamed me instantly. Does Camila give you career advice? Absolutely. Without her encouragement, I wouldn’t have done Killer Joe, where I played a contract killer who falls in love with the sister of a guy who’s hired him. One minute it was funny, the next really intense. It was the most challenging thing I had done to that point. How did you lose 50 pounds for Dallas Buyers Club? It was not as hard as everyone thinks. I ate small meals — a few ounces of fsh or a cup of vegetables — throughout the day. And I would have a glass of wine at night to reward myself. Did you always want to be an actor? eading into November, you might think it’s past the season for enjoying beautiful, fresh fruit, but Ellie Krieger, host of Food Network’s Healthy Appetite, begs to differ. “Grapes from California are ripe and ready to eat from May through January,” she says. “They add extra flavor, texture, color and nutritional value to all of your fall and winter dishes.” This bright and easy dessert proves the point. Ingredients • 1 cup Port wine • 1 2-inch-by1/2-inch strip orange peel • 1 cinnamon stick • 1 tbsp. honey • 3 cups (1 pound)
halved red or black grapes • 6 scoops low-fat Greek yogurt or frozen yogurt • 6 sprigs of mint, washed
Directions 1. Put wine, orange peel, cinnamon stick and honey into saucepan and bring to boil, stirring to dissolve honey. 2. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until liquid is reduced to about 1/3 cup (approximately 15–20 minutes). 3. Using a slotted spoon, remove orange peel and cinnamon stick and discard. Stir in grapes. Allow to sit, stirring occasionally (at least an hour or up to two hours at room temperature); or place in an airtight container in refrigerator, where it will keep up to three days. 4. Serve over plain, low-fat Greek yogurt or your favorite frozen yogurt. Garnish with mint leaves. 50 NOVEMBER 3, 2014 OK!

How do you feel about the possibility of Aviva [Drescher] not returning? Well, I felt that she didn’t really want to be friends with us to begin with, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she wasn’t asked back. What about the rumors of Bethenny [Frankel] coming back? It’s so exciting! I’ve met her a few times, and I think we have a lot in common. It could be a lot of fun. How are things going with your husband, Josh?
