Addressing dropout at the speed of trust Earlier in this section, we described the common assumption that boys drop out of school because of delinquency. But research tells us that treating boys as troublemakers can keep them from the classroom. In the opinion piece that follows, Dr Philip Geldenhuys explores how we might shift relationships between boy learners and the adults in their lives, and in doing so, support boys to stay in school.
