Welcome to the Tour of Manufacturing

Have you ever driven by a manufacturing facility and wondered what they do? Are you a high school or college student trying to decide on a career? Are you interested in a career utilizing cutting edge robotics and technology? The South Central Tour of Manufacturing is for you! Why the tour of manufacturing? Manufacturing plays a significant role in the economy of South Central Minnesota, employing almost 1 out of every 5 workers in the region. During Manufacturing Week we want to showcase this exciting industry. Like other industries, manufacturers need some of the best and brightest to choose careers in this industry of rapid innovation and automation. If you are looking to experience cutting edge innovation, potential career opportunities for yourself or your children, or just curious about the products being produced in your community, come on the Tour of Manufacturing. You can stop at one site or visit them all during the two days. You will be amazed by how manufacturing has changed. Today’s manufacturers provide safe, well-lit facilities, cutting edge robotics and technology, and many exciting well-paying career opportunities! Thank you to the fourteen participating manufacturers and two colleges for generously opening your doors and offering this opportunity. Thanks also to Eide Bailly and ISG for sponsoring this event.
