BASIC DESIGN-1
MORPH0GENETIC FOLDING
When two FORMS differing in GEOMETRY and ORIENTATION COLLIDE AND INTERPENETRATE each other’s BOUNDARIES, each will view for visual SUPREMACY and DOMINANCE.
The two FORMS can SUBVERT their INDIVIDUAL IDENTITIES and MERGE to create a new COMPOSITE FORM.
A CIRCULAR FORM can be FREE-STANDING in its CONTEXT to express its IDEAL SHAPE.
MUSIC AND ARCHITECTURE
PAPER FOLDING Different paper models were made by the morphogenetic folding of the papers. Selected papers then were studied in detail. LINEAR as well as ORGANIC forms were achieved through this exercise. The design evolves Different aspects of the selected model was studied by sketching the different views of it and through a dynamic development with keeping the human gures in different ways. alternate periods of disequilibrium. The exercise helped in appreciating the function of folding as a design generator.
BASIC DESIGN-2
OBJECT ANALYSIS
OBJECT: CASSETTE
Analysis of cassee was done by studying its anatomy .The shapes were derived from the objects and GRAPHICS were made keeping the shape in the same proportions and then changing the proportions. They were colored in GREY, WHITE & BLACK.

PYRAMID, CUBE & CYLINDER were divided in equal parts. Different forms were made and spaces were produced.
3D models were made from the graphics. Heights were given according the colors of the graphics. The shapes in the BLACK were the highest, GREY colored were the middle ones and the WHITE ones were the lowest.
BASIC DESIGN-3
TRIANGULATION OF BRANCH
SURFACES were made by creating the planes with the paper. Different spaces were achieved, some of which were enclosed while some were open.
TRIANGULATION was done by connecting the nodes of the branch with the threads. Two different colors were used to make the surfaces .
A TENSILE structure was made from the solid model with the depressed & elevated After the surfaces were made a solid model was points. made from the enclosed spaces by creating the PHOTOMONTAGE was done depressed and elevated points. which helped in understanding A solid space was developed that helped in the spaces when a different beer understanding of the object space is added to it.

CONCEPT:
BRIEF:
Intersection of horizontal & vertical lines creates the spaces that can be used as a single space & whole layouts are formed.
After the understanding of anthropometry, the residence was to be designed. The brief was to design a residence for a FAMILY of 3 people. The HUSBAND and WIFE are PHOTOGRAPHER and DANCE TEACHER by professions. The child is in junior year. The workspace for the couple was also to be designed within the residence.
SECTION AA’
The layout is similar throughout both oors while the activities are changed. The central space is double heighted .
SITE: The site was in Karamsad in ANAND district.
SECTION BB’
GROUND FLOOR
Courtyard, Indian siing perforated with water wall createsbody covered a different with transpspace. arent glass. The SITE overfaces the LAKE. The design is such that the informal spaces faces the lake. The climatic conditions were also taken in conditions while designing. N

APPROACH TO THE SITE
GAZEBO
It is surrounded by trees, farms and small valleys. It is away from the main road due to which it is a very silent area, a perfect place for a CAMPSITE. ROUND timber is 50% stronger than milled lumber in COMPRESSION and BENDING. Y-COLUMNS are used for aesthetic as well as economical purpose.
MULTIPURPOSE AREA
Classi cation, propeties, types of trees and market forms of trees were studied. Different types of wooden structures were studied from which I learnt that wood being a natural material it gives the building a natural look with its color and texture. Live case study of a campsite was done. Study of spaces and its functions was done & concluded that it needs more open spaces closer to nature with more trees.

An institute was to be designed on the site in Vallabh Vidhyanagar, Anand. The site is surrounded by commercial, residential and institutional buildings. Design was to be done keeping in mind the climatic conditions.
CONCEPT:
PATTERNS being an important part of fashion industry it was taken as a concept. Its characteristics being geometric, repetition, symmetry were taken into architectural aspects with repeating windows, columns, etc. Zoning was done in axis and in the wind diretion. Adimn , Common area, Academic, were dierent 3 blocks that can be accessible separatly.
