PROBLEM: Donating and volunteering take time and money. Most people do not have one or the other or either to spare. SOLUTION: Don’t ask people for their time or money, ask for their trash. Things we throw away everyday has value. Collect and recycle people’s trash to get the homeless things they need. IDEA: “Trash Is Cash”

POP-UP STORE Pop-up stores gather people’s daily trash, raise awareness, and sells merchandise and accept donations.


THE GIVING MAP Powered by GoogleMaps, The Giving Map is a partnership between the MadHousers and socially responsible brands to make giving easier. Every time directions are looked up through The Giving Map site the miles are donated to the cause and the partners match each mile for $0.50 to help the MadHousers improve the living conditions for the homeless in Atlanta.



PROBLEM: Electronic reader market is getting crowded and fiercely competitive. SOLUTION: Our target needs more than a dedicated e-reader but they don’t need a full-blown tablet computer. Show the parallels between the nook color and their own lives. IDEA: “For Whatever You’re Into”

BOOKS FOR NOOKS Customers are encoranged to bring in their unused magazines, papers, and books to get a discount on their nook color purchase.

AMBIENT Piles of books at the corners of the Barnes of Noble stores demonstrate the capacity of the nook color and the interactive boards allow the passers-by to explore the device’s features.


PROBLEM: Introduce a brand new high-end restaurant concept with a unique selling point of that every dish is inspired by art. SOLUTION: Associate the tastes and sensations they’ll experience with famous artworks patrons are likely to recognize. IDEA: “INSPIRATION SERVED”

IDEA: “There is more to a language than the spoken words.”
