How can You help Your Kids Develop A Strong Writing Skills

Writing is an essential skill that everyone should develop to be successful in life. If you are a parent, you may assist your Preschool going child develop her writing abilities at a young age by getting a head start with some basic tasks. You will be contributing to her future success as a student and as an adult by teaching her how to express herself in this way. In this PPT, Montessori Chino Hills CA teachers have shared a list of tips to help your child become a better writer.
• Play a picture-based game Photographs and visuals are excellent narrative starters. Search the web for some fascinating photographs. Alternatively, cut out photographs from magazines. Photographs of students on a playground, for example, can be realistic. They can also be imaginative pictures, like a superman soaring across space. Glue some photos into a notepad. Then assign one of them to your youngster to write about. "What do you see?" you might ask as a prompt. What do the people think or do? "What happens next?"
• Perform "Tell Me How“ In this exercise, your youngster pretends to write to a space invader who is unfamiliar with our planet or way of life. This alien follow everything exactly as said or written. Your child's role is to select an ordinary chore, such as cleaning his or her teeth or cooking lunch. Then, your youngster will write step-by-step instructions for the alien on how to do the assignment. When your child is finished, you take on the role of the alien and attempt to follow the procedures precisely as they are written. What was inadvertently left out may astonish your youngster! And you could both burst out laughing.
• Create an "I Can" book In Montessori class when children learn to write, they also learn other abilities. Making an "I Can" book will allow your youngster to practice writing skills while also keeping notes of other achievements. Make a book by stapling together a lot of blank pieces of paper. When children achieve a new milestone, such as learning to tie their shoes or hitting a baseball, they draw a picture on a new page of the book. Younger children can then write, "I know how to tie my shoes." Older children can write a few phrases about their accomplishments and feelings.
• Create a diary jar A diary is not required for a journal. It might also be a book in which your child writes about ideas or answers questions such as "If you could do anything next summer, what would you do?" A diary jar is a great location to put all of your thoughts and inquiries. Wash and decorate a jar, such as one that once held peanut butter. Then, on scraps of paper, create or print out journal prompts. Request that your youngster select one prompt every day and write about it in a diary.
