COMMERCIAL DESIGN
CONCEPT
contrasting elements
The natural environment surrounding the space can pull together the essence of achieving work/life balance. The need to break out of work mindset can carry through breathing in fresh air and escaping the chaotic environment. The space focuses on the contrasting bold lines with the lighter more neutral effortless curved elements that can create a sense of comfort for all those who interact with it.

CONCEPT
natural rhythm
The patterned movement of the interior reflects the chaotic atmosphere of the environment while contrasting with the natural rhythm of the space. The warm shades mirror the surrounding city-scape while the delicate yet vibrant bursts pull together the overall focus on nature itself. The movement throughout the space creates a sense of ever growing natural flow through its greenery and foliage. The overall design reflects its natural surroundings through various textures and contrasting shades to provide a variety within the space. HOSPITALITY DESIGN
BAR ELEVATION
I wanted to make the etched glass wall the main feature in this lobby space, with the neutral tones contrasting against the black steel bars that hold up these potted plants above your head in the bar area. 3D model in AutoDesk Revit, traced over by hand and rendered using markers and color pencils.

A movie director and editor, born in Tallahassee, currently married with two children, Andrew Kasch, is buying a home in Savannah for work. Andrew Kasch is a SCAD Alumni who has just purchased an adaptive reuse home that was previously a corner grocery store near by some of SCAD's campus buildings.
RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
CONCEPT
interlocking spaces
The goal of the space is to combine the effortless involvement of the user and the humans connected. emphasizing the importance of a well-balanced work life and the personal space of the user. The interactions of the interlocking areas ignite inspiration and lead a sense of tranquility into the layout meant for everyday life. A playful yet functional design including the interactions of how things are positioned allows it to manifest the users work life; while connecting those who interact with it.
RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
Focusing on the sun path for the project definitely helped with the space planning. I was able to decide exactly where to place the home theater based on where the sun would be setting to not have most of the sun's rays hitting the space when Andrew would like to use the space, whether that is day or night.

This space is meant to create the balance of work life within Andrew's home, having that dedicated area for him to focus on his interests and share that with his family.

INTRO TO INTERIOR DESIGN "An exhibition/ lounge space in the newly renovated Clark Hall paying homage to what it means to be a part of interior design major at SCAD within a 500 square foot space. Focusing on creating an emotional connection with the space begins with our inspiration – establishing the general feeling and character of the final design and translating that into something that a client and visitors to a space can see, feel and understand through experience." CONCEPT
effortless breeze
You're in a jungle feeling like you are being pulled into the center of the island by the music playing out loud. That feeling of total bliss with every note hitting perfectly, every instrument clear and concise in your ears; taking in all the sunshine peaking through the trees and the effortless breeze in your hair.
