Hello, nice to meet you! My name is Diana Alfaro, and I’m an architect with over 7 years of experience working on both residential and commercial interior design projects. In the last 2 years, I’ve focused on projects located along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, where the dynamics of the commercial market, architecture, design, and real estate have played a crucial role. Many talented professionals have contributed to the high quality of architecture and design in the area, expanding our perspectives for analysis and critique.
I’m passionate about how interior designers can significantly enhance the profitability of a project by adding value with strong social and environmental responsibility. The context of a project guides us in selecting materials appropriate to the climate, including incorporating unique local artisanal processes that create genuine and distinctive atmospheres.

This 7 1 0 m ² residence is located just minutes from downtown San José in a relatively dry tropical context. To address the climate, natural and breathable materials were used, including a high percentage of cotton in textiles and natural leathers for better ventilation. Despite this, it was crucial to maintain the elegant and dark wonder vibes of the space, avoiding clichés associated with tropical decor.
