Business Leadership – Becoming Management Material 2
Business leaders today face a marketplace characterised by change and growing complexity. Unfortunately, many leaders have discovered in the midst of this sea of change that they are ill- prepared to respond to— let alone lead—this change. No longer will senior leaders be able to rely on the top-down command-and-control tactics of the past, for these work only when the organisation’s environment is relatively stable and when directives can be well defined. Leaders throughout the organisation—not just at the top— must be able to create strategy and lead change. Leadership development serves a dual purpose: it builds critical capabilities while at the same time achieving real-time business needs. Managers today have become stronger in management skills than in leadership skills and many had become overly confident and somewhat complacent.

Why
Our Leadership Development and Training programmes push each and every delegate to gain a rigorous personal insight into what makes them tick and then, with that understanding of themselves, to stretch their ‘comfort zones’ into new and challenging territory. Once you develop your ‘seeing’ skills then you develop the skills that make things happen, get things unstuck, move things forward. You can look at creating a vision, motivating and inspiring others, setting clear agendas and supporting those who need to help make your vision become a reality.

About this Course This two-day workshop is a tool for your leadership development. It is designed to help you create and accomplish your personal best, and to help you lead others to get extraordinary things done. At its core, leadership means setting goals, lighting a path, and persuading others to follow. But the responsibility entails much more. Leaders must get their message out in a way that inspires, make the most of their limited time, and build roads to precious resources. They must negotiate alliances, improve their colleagues, and align the ambitions of the many with the needs of the organization.
WHAT MAKES FOR A GREAT LEADER? Is it something to do with inward characteristics, such as confidence and focus? Is it more about outward presence, including charm and compassion? Or is it about the ability to create a vision and get others to commit to it? The answer is all of the above. By accepting the challenge to lead, you come to realise that the only limits are those you place on yourself.
To reserve your place you must pay a £100 + vat registration & enrollment fee. (This is nonrefundable)
