STONE WORKTOPS Stone worktops are continuously gaining popularity, increasing the product’s market share at the expense of less durable alternatives, such as laminate and solid hardwood.

The main stone materials used to fabricate worktops are granite, quartz, ceramics and marble. Each of the materials has its preferred uses, which are determined by the structure of the stone.

STONE MATERIALS ARE DIVIDED INTO: Natural stone: granite and marble. Engineered stone: quartz and ceramics. Most stone varieties are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use (except quartz) and are excellent for use as worktops, stairs, fireplace surrounds and are also good for covering floors, walls and facades. Stone surfaces are easy to maintain, with proper care they will retain their beauty for many years and help to protect your furniture.

Ceramics

Quartz and ceramics are varieties of engineered stone. Engineered stone slabs are produced by pressing together ground natural stone or other natural components, such as clay, sand and dyes and binders.

GRANITE WORKTOPS Granite is a natural stone with a beautiful and unique pattern. Granite is valued for its durability, beautiful patterns and colour. Due to its volcanic origin, granite can withstand temperature fluctuations well and is therefore ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Granite is a popular choice for worktops, as well as for fireplace surrounds, stoves, barbeque areas and facades. When choosing a material, you should take into consideration the fact that a light granite is more porous than a dark one. A granite surface is easy to clean, a damp cloth is usually sufficient for the task. Although, in the case of a lightcoloured granite, marble cleaning agents could also be used once or twice a year. Polishing with a clean, dry towel gives the best results when cleaning daily.

Decorative, heat-resistant, different natural patterns and shades A light granite, being more porous, is more absorbent than a dark one Suitable for use in kitchens, bathrooms, barbecue areas, facades, fireplace surrounds, stairs, floor and wall coverings

QUARTZ WORKTOPS Quartz is an engineered composite material consisting of 93% ground natural quartz crumb and 7% binders (usually resin) and dyes.

Quartz is very decorative and has a rich choice of colours. It is also one of the most durable materials and its absorbency has been reduced to a minimum. The excellent qualities of quartz and a wide range of colours have made it very popular among home decorators. Quartz is suitable for indoor use, it’s easy to maintain and it’s polished surface does not require sealing. Warm water and soap are sufficient for cleaning.

A wide range of colours, decorative, its pattern and tonality vary less than natural stone, a good alternative to marble, resistant to stains, shocks, scratches and acids

Does not tolerate high heat or direct UV radiation

Suitable for use in kitchens, bathrooms, floor coverings. Not recommended for: facade coverings, in outdoor kitchens

CERAMIC WORKTOPS Ceramic surfaces are engineered, consisting of natural components such as sand, clay and pigments. Ceramic stone is a great alternative to quartz and natural stone. Ceramic stone materials require minimal care and have exceptionally good resistance to scratches, heat and damage by liquids.

Due to excellent product properties, a wide range of colours and patterns, ceramic stone materials are very popular and widely used for both - indoors and outdoors use. The only downside of ceramic stone materials is their rigidity. They can crack under strong and direct impact. Therefore, it is not recommended to place heavy objects on ceramic surfaces.

Resistant to almost everything, very decorative, a wide range of colours and patterns, weatherproof, high heat resistance, stainrepellent, the slabs have an identical pattern

Very rigid, does not withstand direct shocks

Suitable for use: in the kitchen, bathroom, as a facade, wall and floor covering material

MARBLE WORKTOPS Marble is a luxurious natural stone with a unique colour and pattern. Due to its porous texture,
