The John Dickinson Society
Building Our Tomorrow
Dear John Dickinson Society members, Dickinson students had much to celebrate during the 2011-12 academic year. Some earned Fulbrights and other national awards and scholarships; others embarked on prestigious internships, performed ground-breaking research or launched careers in fields ranging from finance and entertainment to health care and national security. All benefited from the generosity of John Dickinson Society donors. By helping to build the experiences and opportunities behind these students’ achievements, your gifts are building our tomorrow—at Dickinson and throughout the world. Thank you for your leadership-level support.

Campus Enhancements
At Dickinson, students don’t just learn by attending lectures or reading about the latest research. They get their hands dirty, digging into student-faculty research, service learning and interdisciplinary experiential learning opportunities like Dickinson’s distinctive Global Mosaic projects.
JDS gifts help fund vital campus enhancements like last year’s Rubendall Recital Hall renovation. With soundproof walls, an improved sound system, new lights and a ceilingmounted projector for multimedia performances, the enhanced facility provides a vital new resource to current students while helping to attract prospective students.
This active brand of learning isn’t just more effective than the traditional sage-on-the-stage model; it’s more expensive. Without your support it would be impossible to provide these experiences. John Dickinson Society gifts provide students with rich opportunities for global education, internships, athletics and extracurricular activities that extend learning well beyond the classroom.
