The McAndrews Fund for Athletics
As individuals and teammates, Dickinson scholar-athletes are making remarkable strides—achieving successes in the Centennial Conference and thriving academically.
Dickinson is proud of all that our athletes have accomplished, and the McAndrews Fund for Athletics is the backbone for much of that success. The McAndrews Fund allows our teams to travel for training, purchase essential equipment and software, remain competitive with our peer institutions, hire top coaches and train top scholarathletes.
“ McAndrews Fund gifts enable the tennis teams to afford indoor court time during the winter—when we can’t practice on our outdoor courts. As a former Red Devil student-athlete myself, I know that playing college sports helps with character development. Student athletes gain great leadership and team-building experience on the court. I would like to thank McAndrews Fund donors for giving me that opportunity and for giving the same opportunity to the student-athletes I now coach.” — D av i d L o n d o n ’ 1 2 He a d Me n’s a n d Wo m e n’s Te n n i s C oac h

“ Every year, the McAndrews Fund helps offset the cost of our spring-training trip to either Arizona or Florida. We play up to 10 games against some of the best Division III teams, and through that competition early in the year, we are more prepared to take on the difficult conference schedule when we return. Without the help of the McAndrews Fund, the cost of the trip would be considerably higher, and many of our student-athletes wouldn’t be able to participate with the team.” —Craig Hanson He a d Ba s e b a l l C oac h
“ This year our field hockey program benefited greatly from the McAndrews Fund. McAndrews Fund gifts helped us purchase software to break down, analyze and share game film with our team. With the constant changes in technology, we need to keep up-to-date with the best ways to help our team visualize the tactical skills and strategies of the game. We are very grateful for such a phenomenal tool.” — C a i t l i n Wi l l i a m s He a d Fi e l d Ho c k ey C oac h
