CLASS OF 2022 We’re delighted that you’ve chosen to pursue your college education at Dickinson, and we’re confident your experience will be exceptional.
Here are FIVE THINGS
you need to know to get prepared:
CHECK YOUR EMAIL REGULARLY.
As soon as you receive the message regarding your new Dickinson email address, please set up that account and monitor it regularly so that you are able to meet important deadlines, be responsive and stay up-to-date with what’s happening with the class of 2022.
YOU HAVE HOMEWORK!
Before you arrive, a number of forms, surveys or placement tests need to be completed. Review the “Important Dates and Deadlines” page on the Orientation site for details. Keep in mind that if you miss a deadline, you might miss out on other things, like moving into your residence hall upon arrival or getting your top choice for First-Year Seminar. So stay on top of those tasks!
KEEP YOUR PHONE HANDY. We’ll send
the occasional text message update (if you’ve given us permission to do so), and your faculty advisor will be calling to help you select your first semester’s courses. You can also set up your new email on your mobile device for easier access.
CONNECT WITH THE COMMUNITY. It
might feel like move-in day is far away, but there are lots of ways for you to start becoming part of the Dickinson community before then: Follow the college on social media (Dickinson.edu/social), join the class of 2022 Facebook group or attend a summer sendoff!
CONSIDER COMING EARLY. Register for
one of our Pre-Orientation Adventure programs and you’ll be able to arrive early, connect with new classmates first and have an incredible immersive experience. Check out the available programs and registration details on the Orientation site.
