Nikon India Private Limited The best photography workshops will teach you how best to choose your lenses for the particular subject. When you travel, you will find a wide number of genres of subjects to photograph. If you would rather buy just one glass, make it a fast zoom one. A variable focal length lens is also a good thing to have in your arsenal because sometimes subjects may be too far from you and sometimes they may be up close. 3. The Correct Mode JPEG and RAW images will give you a lot of flexibility to do what you want with your photographs when you return home from your trip. But since they take up a lot of memory space, you will feel the need to carry a large amount of memory cards. What you can do is transfer the images on to your laptop every night so that the memory cards are free for the next day. 4. Scout for the Right Locations Sometimes when you are at a new destination, it can be difficult to find the inspiration to start photographing. Don’t worry and scout for locations. DSLR photography is a lot about finding the right locations and you can start with the tourist information centre at your hotel. You can also ask the local people where you can photograph. You may find fellow photographers willing to show you places you can be inspired by. 5. Asking for Portraits It is perfectly okay to ask people for portraits if that is what you are interested in. What is the worst that could happen? They could reject your proposal and that is perfectly fine. Be polite and you will be surprised to see that most people will smile and agree. Fire off a few shots till your subject is comfortable and you may find that you have got one of the best portraits you have ever snapped.
